Big Brother evicted JoJo Spatafora and determined its third Head of Household during Thursday night's broadcast of the fourteenth season's second live eviction show.

Frank, an unemployed 28-year-old from Marion, AK who currently resides in Naples, FL, had nominated JoJo and Shane Meaney for eviction during the week's initial nominations. JoJo and Shane were members of the team led by coach Britney Haynes as part of the season's "coaches" gameplay twist in which Britney and fellow returning houseguests Dan Gheesling, "Boogie" Mike Malin and Janelle Pierzina are serving as coaches to the newbie contestants in the hopes of guiding one of them to a Big Brother victory.
"I definitely think I proved myself in the first HoH competition. I'm five-foot-nothing... I fought my heart out every single time. The fight and the heart that I have, I don't think a lot of people in that house have," JoJo told Big Brother host Julie Chen following her eviction.
Frank came to the conclusion to nominate JoJo and Shane, a 26-year-old house flipper from Bennington, VT, after determining they were loyal allies and teammates of Willie Hantz, a 34-year-old tankerman from Vinton, LA who currently resides in Dayton, TX, who had been expelled from the house for violence during Sunday night's broadcast.
Willie, who had won the season's second HoH competition, had previously unsuccessfully nominated Frank for eviction during his HoH reign, resulting in Willie believing he was certain to be the second houseguest evicted. However Shane won the subsequent Power of Veto competition, allowing him to remove himself from the chopping block.
Due to Willie's outburst, which clearly impacted the popularity of Britney's team, Frank -- whose coach was Boogie -- and his teammates joined forces and formed a secret alliance with Janelle's team.
Therefore, Frank decided to nominate Danielle Murphree, a 23-year-old nurse from Grant, AL who currently resides in Tuscaloosa, AL -- who was the last remaining member of Dan's team -- to replace Shane on the chopping block in order to not turn on his large alliance. The move wasn't necessarily to wipe Dan out but because there was no one left to nominate on Britney's team.
Once Danielle learned she was up for possible eviction, Dan told her that she was on her own but only in attempt to light a fire beneath her. In hopes Danielle would fight to campaign for votes, instead, she secluded herself and felt extremely hurt and abandoned by Dan. In turn, Dan ended up revealing what his original motives were and then everything was fine between them.
Shane had a little fling with Danielle earlier in the season, but during last night's episode, he flipped on her and started a flirtatious "showmance" with JoJo. When the houseguests began finding out JoJo's little relationship with Shane, it apparently put a bigger target on her back because couples are known to be dangerous in the Big Brother house.
Meanwhile, Boogie was thinking it would probably be smart to keep Dan and Danielle in the game in case the coaches were to enter the competition as regular houseguests later on so that they'd have numbers against the newbies. However, Britney seemingly convinced him it'd be wiser to remove Dan, a professional strategic player, from the game at that point because it would be very easy for Boogie to get newbies on his side with Dan gone.
Following JoJo's eviction, the remaining Big Brother houseguests -- minus the four coaches and Frank, who as the outgoing HoH, was deemed ineligible to compete -- beginning to compete in the season's third HoH competition.
Dubbed "On Thin Ice," the competition required each of the six participating houseguests to step out onto a sheet of ice and take a shot with a hockey stick, attempting to get the ball in the slot with the highest number. Any ball that did not make it into a slot would result in a score of zero. The highest points one could receive was 20, and the houseguest to score the highest number would win the competition.

At the end of Thursday night's broadcast, Julie Chen told America they could vote on whether to allow the coaches to enter the game as regular players and compete against the newbie houseguests for the $500,000 or remain as coaches and continue fighting to win the separate $100,000 prize.
