Kristen Bitting became the fourth houseguest evicted from Big Brother's twelfth season during last night's live broadcast of the CBS reality show.

Rachel, a 26-year-old chemistry graduate student/VIP cocktail waitress from Las Vegas, NV, had nominated Kristen for eviction alongside Hayden Moss, a 24-year-old college student from Tempe, AZ, after the house had learned the pair had been having a secret "showmance" in the house.
The houseguests had discovered Kristen and Hayden's relationship when Andrew Gordon publicly announced it right before he was voted out of the Big Brother house during last week's eviction vote.
Britney Haynes, a 22-year-old hotel sales manager from Huntington, AR, won the week's subsequent Power of Veto competition but opted not to use it when Rachel -- who didn't want to see her nominations changed and knew Britney liked Lane Elenburg -- told Britney she would put Lane up if Britney used the veto to take Hayden off the chopping block.
Kristen was initially upset that Britney's decision meant her relationship with Hayden would be coming to an least temporary end, but later became suspicious that he might have a secret alliance in the house when he told her he wasn't going to campaign to stay.
While Kristen never seemed to figure out Matt Hoffman was also part of it or that they had taken to calling their secret alliance "the Brigade," she did eventually come to believe (correctly) that Hayden had secretly allied himself with Enzo Palumbo, a 32-year-old insurance adjuster from Bayonne, NJ, and Lane, a 24-year-old oil rig salesman from Decatur, TX.
However the house's other houseguests seemed skeptical that Hayden could be in a secret alliance with Enzo and Lane when Kristen approached them with the idea.
"I think that they are friends, I think that they do stuff together, and that's why Hayden is in the position that he's in," Ragan Fox told her.
"I mean for you to make-up that Hayden's in an alliance and he's not so forthcoming... how could anyone expect to trust you?" Brendon Villegas, Rachel's "showmance" partner, said in a pre-recorded goodbye message that aired after Kristen's eviction.
Prior to Kristen's eviction, Big Brother host Julie Chen also revealed -- as the show's live feed viewers had already seen Kristen telling Hayden and the other houseguests -- that she had begun her "showmance" with Hayden despite having a boyfriend back home.
"I am -- or was, depending on how we look at it -- Kristen's boyfriend," her boyfriend Steve said in an interview. "Kristen and I were together for a little over two months, and before she left I said, 'Do you want to be a single person on the show?' She said, 'No,' and I said 'Okay, that's how we're going to move forward.'"
"I don't think much of Hayden. He's a 24-year-old kid. I'm a 31-year-old man. I feel betrayed. I feel lied to. I mean, I'm disgusted... in my opinion, it's over. She's got quite a mess to clean up when she comes back."

"I just have to take time for myself and decide what's best for me," she said. "I think that I just need time alone and time to just think about this whole experience."
Hayden used his own goodbye message to reveal his "Brigade" alliance to Kristen but claim he would have sacrificed it for her.
"I want you to know and hear it from me that Matt, Enzo, Lane and myself are in an alliance called the Brigade... but I want you to know that if I had to choose you and the Brigade, I would have chosen you. I'm going to miss you a lot. Goodbye," he said.
Kristen was unfazed by Hayden's admission and said she wasn't going to hold it against him.
"I'm shocked and not shocked at the same time... I mean, I knew there was something going on that I didn't know about," she told Julie. "This week, I suspected something."
After Kristen's interview, Big Brother's nine remaining houseguests -- minus Rachel, who as the outgoing HoH, was ineligible to compete -- competed in the season's fifth HoH competition.
Dubbed "True Colors," the endurance challenge required the houseguests to remain standing on the ledge of a giant "paint can" as it spun and they were pelted by a giant "paint brush" and splattered with foamy "paint." The last houseguest standing would become the fifth Head of Household while the first one eliminated would become the week's sole "Have Not" and be forced to eat slop, take cold showers, and sleep in the sparsely furnished "Have Nots" bedroom.

Just as he did with the season's first endurance challenge, Matt won the challenge and became the next HoH.
During the broadcast, Julie also revealed Hayden won last week's "America's Vote" viewer vote and will receive the chance -- if this week's HoH chooses to open "Pandora's Box" -- to become the Big Brother season's new saboteur.
"Whoever wins this competition will become the most powerful Head of Household of the summer!" Julie proclaimed. "Also, Sunday, find out if the new saboteur will be unleashed on the house."
In addition, Julie also announced that -- as producer Allison Grodner had teased last week -- eleventh-season houseguests Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd will visit the Big Brother house during Wednesday's broadcast.
