Big Brother's houseguests evicted McCrae Olson during Thursday night's eviction broadcast of the CBS reality competition's fifteenth season.

"I was kind of blown away. I did not see it coming. I feel like I should've been smarter. I kind of knew something was wrong with Andy. Something was weird. I thought that he cast that vote against [Amanda Zuckerman], but I just didn't go on my instincts. I don't really trust myself, so I kind of learned something about myself," McCrae told Big Brother host Julie Chen following his eviction.
"I really thought that [Andy] wanted to get Amanda out so he could work with me. I didn't really think there was this whole alliance that was working against me. I really feel bad now, in hindsight, what I did to [Elissa Slater]. I know I could've trusted her and I should've went with my gut, but I'm a wuss."
Andy nominated McCrae and Spencer, a 31-year-old conductor from Conway, AR, for eviction. When Andy announced his nominations, he simply told the group he wanted both houseguests to fight for the most important Power of Veto of the season.
Andy, Spencer and GinaMarie, a 32-year-old pageant coordinator from Brooklyn, NY who currently resides in Staten Island, NY, were the remaining members of the "Exterminators" alliance -- which previously included Judd Daugherty -- who planned to target McCrae and beat him in the upcoming PoV competition. As long as an "exterminator" won the veto, the threesome made it apparent McCrae would be going home.
If McCrae came through for himself and won the PoV, he'd get to choose to send home GinaMarie or Spencer since they would automatically be the two players on the chopping block. Due to the fact Andy nominated Spencer over GinaMarie, Spencer began worrying the two had a secret.
While everyone fought their hardest for the PoV, Andy ended up winning the competition. He intended to keep his nominations the same but then Spencer and McCrae started getting inside his head.
Spencer told Andy they both probably couldn't beat GinaMarie in the end, as she played a great social game all season and made the huge move of ultimately getting rid of Amanda. GinaMarie had been the only houseguest courageous enough to put Amanda and McCrae on the block together. Although part of the "Exterminators," Spencer thought getting rid of GinaMarie might be the better option.
Andy realized GinaMarie was a dangerous player and the girls in the jury probably had a special place for her in their hearts. McCrae also attempted to convince Andy that the jury hated him much more than they hated Andy or GinaMarie.
Andy took everyone's thoughts into consideration, but he decided not to use the PoV and therefore keep his nominations the same. GinaMarie, the only person not on the block or with the HoH title, was allowed to cast the sole vote for McCrae's eviction.
Also during McCrae's post-eviction interview, he talked about his showmance with Amanda and whether he felt like he had put his relationship ahead of his gameplay.
"I would say that, but also it's kind of give and take. I think that me and Amanda really helped each other through this game. I put her in front of me and she took a lot of the heat. I think it got kind of too far into the game, and once she left, I was crippled because I couldn't see this alliance forming that was against me. I think if she would've left a little earlier, I could've maybe saw that and even maybe break it apart," McCrae explained, adding he's not sure if they'll continue dating.

McCrae will now join previously-evicted houseguests Judd, Amanda, Elissa, Aaryn Gries, Helen Kim, Candice Stewart, and Jessie Kowalski on Big Brother's fifteenth-season jury. Big Brother's finale will air Wednesday night at 9:30PM ET/PT on CBS following Sunday night's new episode.
