Big Brother determined the week's two official nominations after the Power of Veto competition during Wednesday night's nineteenth broadcast of the show's sixteenth season on CBS.

As the week's only remaining Head of Household, Nicole Franzel ended up nominating Zach Rance and Jocasta Odom for eviction.

Zach and Jocasta were Nicole's original two nominees, however, she was hoping to backdoor Frankie Grande by naming him the replacement nominee following the superhero-themed PoV competition.

But Christine Brecht ended up winning the PoV and decided against using it in order to keep the nominations the same. Christine was dead set on getting out Zach.

Prior to the PoV meeting, Zach knew he had to win the PoV to ensure his safety. Meanwhile, Jocasta was frustrated about having been on the chopping block four times this season. She just continued to smile and pretend to be happy.

Derrick Levasseur told Nicole that he and his loyal ally Cody Calafiore were onboard with backdooring Frankie. Nicole had floated the idea of the three of them being in an alliance with Hayden Voss. Derrick liked that vibe and confirmed he'd like to be in that alliance, which they ended up naming "Team Rationale."

Derrick and Cody, who had a Final 2 deal together and called themselves "The Hitmen," were now part of two other alliances: "The Detonators" and "Team Rationale."

Derrick told the cameras that if Nicole pulled off getting Frankie on the block, he was going to be "Team Rationale" all the way. However, if the HoH's plan fell through, Derrick said he'd fall back on his original "Detonators" alliance -- which also included Cody, Christine, Frankie and Zach.

Meanwhile, Christine tried to convince her buddy Nicole to get rid of Zach. She suggested nominating Derrick or Cody instead of the obvious choice, Donny Thompson, if she needed a replacement nominee because they wouldn't be mad about it afterwards and wouldn't go home.

Christine also lied to Nicole, saying that Hayden really wanted Zach to stay and had madeout with Victoria Rafaeli -- which was all a plot to turn Nicole against Hayden, whom she had a huge crush on and close relationship with in the house.

Nicole confronted Hayden about the news, and Hayden quickly shot down the rumors. Nicole took Hayden's side immediately and believed him. She was shocked about how bad of a friend Christine was being, calling her manipulative and untrustworthy. Nicole then told Cody what Christine had been up to.

Cody talked it over with Derrick, and the guys agreed one group -- one of their alliances -- was playing them. Derrick assumed Christine was working with someone else even though she was considered "a loyal Detonator." Cody also figured Frankie was working with Christine, and therefore, Frankie needed to go home.

Before the PoV competition, "The Detonators" gathered together and confirmed that as long as Jocasta didn't win the competition, they'd be sitting pretty. Derrick and Cody realized they'd have to choose a side by the end of the week.

Zach ended up blowing the PoV competition and was so mad at himself for initially telling Nicole to put him up on the block via "reverse psychology." He felt very stupid. When Christine won the PoV, she noted in a confessional she should either use the PoV so someone would be nominated instead of Jocasta -- someone whom the house wouldn't want to get rid of -- or just convince her "allies" to evict Zach.

In the end, Christine opted out of using the PoV. Zach was happy about the move, thinking Jocasta would definitely be the one going home. Christine explained to the cameras she simply didn't want two "Detonators" on the block at once.

Nicole then determined Zach needed to go since she could no longer target Frankie. She intended to make a big move so no one in the house could view her as a floater going forward.

With Jocasta and Zach now on the block, a double eviction will occur during Thursday night's episode.
