Big Brother's houseguests evicted Faysal Shafaat in a 4-1 vote over his showmance partner and closest ally, Haleigh Broucher, during Thursday night's live Season 20 episode on CBS.

Faysal received votes from all the houseguests except for Sam Bledsoe, who wanted to see Haleigh leave the competition.

"When [Angela Rummans] nominated me, I was surprised because I kept her safe the week before. I figured she was going to nominate Haleigh, but I didn't see the both of us coming," Faysal told Big Brother host Julie Chen in his post-eviction interview.

"Going into this house, I didn't know how I was going to play the game. I just knew one thing: I was going to compete in competitions, I wasn't going to throw anything, and I was going to be loyal to people from the beginning. So, I didn't want to turn my back on anybody. I was going to stick it out and ride it until the wheels fall off."

The Big Brother broadcast began on Day 69, with Haleigh admitting she didn't know how to handle the situation considering she was sitting on the block with her only remaining ally and close friend in the house, Faysal.

Faysal questioned how real his relationship with Haleigh had been and whether her behavior with him had been a little bit of strategy, but she insisted she liked him and didn't want to hurt him.

Haleigh's feelings for Faysal were real, and she said she definitely wanted to pursue their romance outside of the game.

Meanwhile, Brett Robinson attempted to make a Final 2 deal with Tyler Crispen because he assumed he was on the bottom of "Level 6" and its four-person totem pole -- Tyler, Brett, Kaycee Clark and Angela.

But Tyler had a Final 2 pact with half the house already, including Sam and JC Mounduix.

"I like Angela a lot. She's such a cool person, but I'm here for one reason, and that's to win $500,000. So when it comes down to it, if I have to cut Angela, I'm going to do it. But she's still cute though," Tyler said in a confessional.

JC then approached Tyler about needing to break Angela and Kaycee up because they were a powerful duo in the house and had each other's back 100 percent.

JC didn't care which girl went first, but Tyler said he was not onboard with that plan and it was way too early to make a move against people who weren't gunning for them to begin with.

"You're not going to convince me to keep Haleigh over anybody in this house," Tyler told JC.

JC spoke to Brett about how he wasn't going to nominate Haleigh or Sam for eviction the following week if he happened to become the new Head of Household.

Brett agreed it made sense to put Kaycee and Angela on the block together, but they would need to fully commit to the plan.

The houseguests assumed there was going to be a "Battle Back" competition, and they were right. Brett feared such a competition because any member of the jury returning to the house was not going to be good for his game.

It then became time for the live eviction, and Faysal and Haleigh were each allowed to make a speech.

Faysal said he had "nothing but love and respect" for Haleigh and that Angela is "not all that."

Faysal also warned the other houseguests that Angela had bragged about manipulating everyone in the game and being in control, especially of Brett and Tyler. Faysal added that Angela thought she had her allies on "leashes."

Haleigh then took her time to simply thank her houseguests for an amazing summer and express how much love she had for them.

"[Angela] was sitting pretty in the house, so I wanted to stir things up a little bit and that way they'd maybe take a shot at her," Faysal told Julie after his eviction.

Faysal also refused to answer Julie's question on whether he would have saved Haleigh or himself had he won the last Power of Veto competition.

Regardless, he was looking forward to making a relationship with Haleigh work outside of the house.

Faysal said he doesn't have a lot of regrets except he wishes he had taken a shot at Tyler or Angela when he had the chance -- and not put his ally, Scottie Salton, on the chopping block.

The jury members so far -- Faysal, Bayleigh Dayton, Angie "Rockstar" Lantry and Scottie -- then competed in a "Battle Back" competition, which would allow the winner to re-enter the game and resume competing for the $500,000 grand prize.

In the live competition called "Big Top Drop," each player was required to race to retrieve individually-colored balls spinning in the air, bring them back to the starting point, and drop them into a tube.

The first player to drop four balls into his or her tube and press a buzzer on the other side of the yard would be crowned champion.

Scottie ended up winning the competition and spot back in the Big Brother house.

When asked how he planned to switch things up in the house, Scottie explained of his strategy, "I was actually planning on getting back with [Faysal] and Haleigh, because he couldn't trust me the whole time. But now that he's gone, I'm going to try to get back with Tyler... [And] Angela seems to be the problem, or probably JC, because he was the one whispering in Faysal's ear about me."

Once Scottie re-entered the house, all of his fellow players cheered with excitement.
