Big Brother featured Hannah Chaddha winning the Power of Veto and using its golden power to take Xavier Prather off the chopping block as a secret Head of Household was still in play during Wednesday night's Season 23 episode on CBS.

Hannah's decision left Sarah Beth Steagall, a 27-year-old forensic scientist from Boiling Springs, SC who currently resides in Fort Myers, FL, and Kyland Young, a 29-year-old account executive from San Bernardino County, CA who currently resides in Venice Beach, CA, on the chopping block heading into Thursday night's live eviction.
The Big Brother broadcast began on Day 52, with the secret Head of Household's nominees locked.
The secret HoH was Claire, a 25-year-old artificial intelligence engineer from Chagrin Falls, OH who currently resides in New York, NY.
Tiffany Mitchell, a 40-year-old phlebotomist from Detroit, MI, had been dethroned and lost all of her powers, including her HoH room, but the secret HoH chose to keep her nominations the same.
Tiffany therefore assumed her best friend in the house, Claire, won the "Coin of Destiny" and the anonymous power.
Tiffany and Claire hoped to get Sarah Beth out of the house, but Claire admitted she'd be okay with getting rid of anyone left.
Given Sarah Beth was the target, her closest ally outside of "The Cookout" alliance, Kyland, was also on the chopping block, as well as Xavier, who had been automatically nominated as a punishment from the previous Power of Veto competition.
Sarah Beth realized her game was in "serious trouble" since the secret HoH was apparently working with Tiffany and wants to achieve the same goal.
"On a personal level, it is really, really hard to be on the block next to Kyland. I don't want to see Kyland go home, but I also can't let it be me," Sarah Beth cried.

RELATED LINK: 'BIG BROTHER' SHOWMANCES NOWWhile Tiffany was a little sad about being dethroned, she was happy she'll get to play in the next HoH competition and have another shot to win.
Tiffany then asked Claire -- in front of Hannah -- to let her take the credit for being the secret HoH and keeping nominations the same. Tiffany suggested that she needed to lie in order to protect her relationship with Claire and keep Claire under the radar.
"I want everyone to think I'm the secret HoH this week. I don't want anyone getting in Claire's ear," Tiffany explained in a confessional.
Tiffany told Claire that she didn't want to put her in an uncomfortable place in which she'd have to explain her game moves to everybody, but Claire wasn't sure what to think.
"I'm thrilled Tiffany wants to try to get the blood on her own hands this week and claim that she [dethroned] herself, but on the other hand, it feels like I'm not really getting the full benefit of being HoH!" Claire complained.
"I want some credit for this. I don't want this to just be seen as Tiffany's move."
Sarah Beth then cried about her position and apparent fate in the game. She told Kyland that she felt "defeated," and Kyland confessed he felt a little guilty for lying to his best friend in the house since he knew exactly what was going on as a member of "The Cookout" alliance.
Sarah Beth acknowledged she might be completely clueless as to what's going on in the house because a secret HoH gunning for her when she was already on the chopping block was strange and suspicious.

"If one of us is on the block, we're going home," Sarah Beth told Kyland, given they had essentially been nominated for eviction twice this week.
"If that's not a house target, I don't know what it is. The chance of us surviving is for one of us to win the Veto."
It then became time to pick players for the Power of Veto competition.
In addition to the three nominees -- Xavier, Sarah Beth and Kyland -- the three houseguests selected at random to compete were Claire, Hannah and Alyssa Lopez, a 24-year-old swimwear designer from Sarasota, FL.
Xavier hoped Alyssa or himself would win the Veto because that would be his way to get off the block.
Sarah Beth was disappointed Derek Frazier, a 29-year-old safety officer from Philadelphia, PA, wasn't chosen because she felt like she could beat him, but Claire was thrilled to potentially win and secure all of the power in the house.
And Hannah looked forward to finally playing in a Veto competition and hopefully winning some power in the house.
Meanwhile, Claire realized Sarah Beth wasn't her own personal target and going after Xavier would actually be better for her own game. Claire therefore intended to pursue her own objective if she's able to win the Power of Veto.
For the Power of Veto competition, the backyard was decorated like a high school's hallways, paying tribute to the upcoming movie Dear Evan Hansen.
The participating players were required to arrange giant yearbook photos of previously-evicted Season 23 Big Brother houseguests in chronological order. Clues in each of the 10 photos would determine their correct order.

In the end, Hannah won the Power of Veto with a time of four minutes and 59 seconds. Sarah Beth was devastated to finish in second place with a time of five minutes and 22 seconds. Kyland placed third with a time of five minutes and 25 seconds.
Claire completed the competition in six minutes and 27 seconds, Alyssa finished in eight minutes and 14 seconds, and Xavier came in last place with a time of eight minutes and 29 seconds.
Hannah was ecstatic to win something, and she ultimately chose to have Kyland, Xavier and Sarah Beth watch the movie with her.
But Claire was upset she couldn't remove a different target, someone other than Sarah Beth, from the house.
"I know I couldn't have done any better, so I was just really hoping it would be enough," Sarah Beth lamented to the cameras. "It sucks to be so close."
Kyland then attempted to convince Hannah to use the Power of Veto on him, which rubbed some of his "Cookout" allies the wrong way. The "Cookout" wanted Kyland to trust them and feel totally confident in his position with them.
Claire figured Kyland wanted to be saved so he could vote for Sarah Beth to stay this week and maybe sway other votes in her favor. Tiffany also didn't appreciate Kyland's apparent attempt to try to save Sarah Beth this week.
In fact, Kyland had originally told Tiffany to nominate him for eviction along with Sarah Beth, so she vented that he needed to "shut the f-ck up."
Tiffany reiterated how her alliance's plan all along was to have each "Cookout" member sit next to his or her outside alliance member on the block each week, which keeps the "Cookout" alliance secret as the members save each other every time.
Kyland explained to Hannah that he'd like to throw a sympathy vote Sarah Beth's way, but Hannah was also turned off by Kyland's attempt to get off the chopping block.

At the Veto Meeting, Hannah went with her original plan and took Xavier off the chopping block. There was no replacement nominee given Sarah Beth and Kyland were still nominees.
Hannah called Kyland's gameplay "sketchy" and Tiffany added how he was acting "selfish" and he wasn't fooling her.
