Big Brother featured a big twist in which evictees Jared Fields and Cameron Hardin returned to the Big Brother house as zombies and competed in a special competition for a major advantage during the Season 25 episode that aired Sunday night on CBS.

To quickly recap last week's double eviction and recent events in the game, Cameron had been evicted from the Big Brother house through a 8-0 vote and then Cory Wurtenberger won the Head of Household competition.

Cory, as the new HoH, proceeded to nominate Jared and Blue Kim for eviction.

Matt Klotz then won the Power of Veto competition and decided to keep nominations the same, which ultimately resulted in Jared's eviction from the Big Brother house through a 6-1 vote.

However, in a big twist, Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves had some news for the two evictees.

"Nothing could be more horrifying to your former housemates than the two of you returning to the house as Big Brother zombies," Julie announced, playing to Season 25's "Scary-verse" theme.

Sunday night's Big Brother broadcast began on Day 51, shortly after Jared was sent packing.

Cirie Fields said her suspicions had been confirmed and most of the people in the house couldn't be trusted and were no longer her friends. She felt sharks "nipping" at her feet, and she added, "I have no idea what this means for me."

When the houseguests were just lounging around, the Scary-verse light started blinking, and then Cirie read "the card of a lifetime."

The Scary-verse warned the houseguests that BB Zombies would be returning to the house and "one of them would have their game resurrected."

"Jared or Cameron is coming back!" Felicia Cannon pointed out.

Jared and Cameron then entered the house wearing zombie costumes, and America Lopez told the cameras that her heart dropped at the sight of her former housemates because she had targeted both of these men, along with Cory.

The players were then informed that, in a Big Brother first, there would be no Head of Household, no Nomination Ceremony, no Veto competition, and no Veto Meeting this week.

"Instead, Cameron and Jared -- who are BB Zombies -- will live in the house and battle against each other," Bowie Jane read from a Scary-verse transmission. "Next Thursday, one of them will win their way back into the game while the other's game will be dead and buried forever."

Jared said he loved seeing the expressions on people's faces and it was time to win his way back into the game. Cameron, meanwhile, boasted about no one had taken down "mean old Cam."

Cory called this twist "a setback," and he said it was going to be his mission to send these two guys "right back out the door."

And Blue -- who was excited to have her showmance back in the game -- admitted she had a lot of explaining to do given she hadn't warned Jared earlier that he was the house's target all week long.

Jared then confronted Felicia and Blue with anger, saying they had "done him filthy" and he didn't want to talk to them. Felicia, however, thought Jared and Cirie had done her dirty by not fighting for her to stay in the house when she was on the chopping block next to Izzy Gleicher.

Felicia shouted at Cirie about how Jared had voted against her before and so she wasn't the bad guy in the situation.

"You wanted to send my ass home! Tell me how it's okay that you guys voted against me last week," Felicia yelled at Cirie.

"Everyone was voting against you!" Cirie explained, suggesting that she had wanted to vote with the house majority.

"Well everyone was voting against [Jared]!" Felicia snapped.

Jared said in the Diary Room that he felt "betrayed" by Felicia, and then he exposed Felicia's prior attempt to ditch Cirie as her ride-or-die ally and form a Final 2 alliance with him.

Mecole Hayes hated seeing her alliance crack, crumble and fight with each other.

Jared told Cirie, Felicia and Mecole that he was going to fight for his life in this game.

Meanwhile, Cameron's goal was to figure out whom he could work with going forward. He hoped to join forces with Matt and Jag Bains. While Jared was "starting fires," according to Cam, he intended to present himself as a calm, cool and collected player.

Matt, however, wanted to rebuild his trust with Cirie by telling her that she was never his target and he wanted to protect her from going home. Cirie could tell that Matt was telling her the truth, but she wasn't sure how much faith to put in him.

Cory then spoke to the guys in the house about how he needed Cameron to win the zombie battle since Jared had gone home during his HoH and after an explosive blow-up with him.

Cameron and Cory had a complicated game relationship thus far, and so Cory had optimism the pair could mend fences and work together again. America also said she felt closer to Cameron than Jared.

After Blue attempted to repair her relationship with Jared, who felt hurt by Blue's lack of  loyalty and honesty, the house learned how the zombie battle was going to work.

Jared and Cameron were told the winner of the upcoming "Resurrection Rumble" would be given "an incredible opportunity" -- a "monstrous advantage" in the game.

Live on Thursday, the winner of the "Resurrection Rumble" will have the power to decide whether he will compete in an individual "Do or Die" competition to resurrect their own game or force the other zombie to compete.

Jared and Cameron then headed to the "graveyard," where they competed in the zombie battle, which played out in three yards over the course of 24 hours.

The two zombies were required to dig up a coffin, remove a bag inside, untie the knots, remove eyeballs and skulls from the bag, and place them in a bin. They must then transfer one skull or eyeball at a time to a shovel on the other side by walking across a balance beam.

But if any of the skulls or eyeballs hit the ground, they had to be reset, with the player starting all over again.

Jared and Cameron were given a specific amount of time for each round. In Round 2 and 3, the players would start off where they had left off in the previous round.

The first houseguest to hit his buzzer with all of the objects on the shovel, would win the advantage.

The first round of "Resurrection Rumble" lasted for 10 minutes, and Cameron and Jared were tied up seven to seven.

Jag found himself rooting for Cameron to win the competition, and so he gave him advice on how to save a few seconds.

The second round also lasted 10 minutes, and at the end, Cameron had 13 items on his shovel while Jared only had nine objects.

The episode ended with Round 3, and the first man to successfully place 30 objects on his shovel would win an advantage in the form of choosing who would compete in the "Do or Die" competition.
