Big Brother featured Kyle Capener and Daniel Durston winning the Power of Veto and using it to save Alyssa Snider and Indy Santos from eviction, which resulted in the Head of Household Monte Taylor choosing two replacement nominees during the Season 24 episode that aired Wednesday night on CBS.

"Festie Besties" Kyle, a 29-year-old unemployed cast member from Bountiful, UT, and Daniel, a 35-year-old Las Vegas performer from Ontario, CA who currently resides in Las Vegas, NV, won the Power of Veto.

Kyle and Daniel chose to use the Veto's golden power and remove Alyssa, a 24-year-old marketing representative from Sarasota, FL, and Indy, a 31-year-old corporate flight attendant from Sao Paulo, Brazil who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, from the chopping block.

The HoH, Monte, a 27-year-old personal trainer from Bear, DE, decided to name Taylor Hale, a 27-year-old personal stylist from West Bloomfield, MI, and Nicole Layog, a 41-year-old private chef from Fort Lauderdale, FL, the replacement nominees heading into Thursday night's live eviction.

The Big Brother broadcast began on Day 24 following the Nomination Ceremony in which Monte had nominated "Festie Besties" Indy and Alyssa for eviction. They were the only "Festie Besties" that did not include a member of Monte's "The Leftovers" alliance.

Monte liked the idea of backdooring Nicole, but Monte needed Taylor to agree and go along with the plan. Since Taylor is Nicole's "Festie Bestie," she would have go up on the chopping block again. It would be Taylor's third time on the block.

Indy said she didn't trust what anyone told her and so she was going to fight for her safety, and Alyssa said it really sucked to be on the block, especially since her former ally, Monte, had put here there.

Joseph Abdin and Monte were still trying to build trust with Taylor, whom they needed in their alliance but also cared about as a person.

Meanwhile, Taylor spoke to Brittany Hoopes and Michael Bruner about how she was sick of being in the passenger seat and wanted to take the reins.

Michael said he felt good with "The Leftovers" -- which was also comprised Joseph, Monte, Matthew "Turner" Turner, and Kyle -- but he thought it would be great to have the two women in his sub-alliance.

Michael said he trusted Brittany and Taylor more than anyone else and didn't want to bring anyone to the end who was perceived as being a bigger threat than he was. Brittany also said she felt good about being in a Final 3 alliance with Michael and Taylor.

Later on, Daniel told Monte that Taylor had been his main thought and distraction, and Monte knew Daniel wasn't going to be happy with him because he was considering backdooring Nicole. Monte told Daniel that his goal was to backdoor Taylor, which was a lie.

Daniel said he couldn't let the house take out Nicole, and so he planned to help her in any way he could.

Kyle then discussed with Taylor and Michael what they would do if Daniel won the Power of Veto. They wondered if he would use the veto to target Taylor, which she said would be awesome because then Daniel would be responsible for sending his best friend home.

"If he betrays his best friend, it would feel so sweet to me," Taylor bragged.

Alyssa and Kyle were then shown trying to strengthen their showmance after Kyle's betrayal, but Kyle didn't know what to do with her because she was outside "The Leftovers" alliance and also allegedly had a "situationship" outside of the game. However, he found her extremely attractive and was drawn to her.

Daniel then talked to Nicole about how he wouldn't use the veto to backdoor Taylor because it would put Nicole in jeopardy. He needed to protect his Final 2 with Nicole and was ready and willing to do that.

It then became time to pick players for the Veto competition.

In addition to the Monte, his two "Festie Besties" Joseph and Terrance Higgins, and the two nominees, Alyssa and Indy, "Festie Besties" Daniel and Kyle were selected by random draw to play.

Brittany and Michael agreed they needed nominations to stay the same so that they could vote out Alyssa and hopefully convince Indy to join their "Festie Bestie" pair so that Brittany and Michael could stay in the game. Taylor planned on going with this pair to the end, and so she was willing for her revenge to come another day.

For the Power of Veto competition, one "Festie Bestie" in each pair was required to keep a clear mind while the other bestie must eat a spoonful of "psychedelic slop" and "go on a trip of a lifetime." The slop eater would enter "a psychedelic world."

Once the "trippers" returned to reality, they had 90 seconds to tell their "Festie Bestie" everything that they could remember about their wild journey. The "trippers" would then leave their clear-minded bestie alone.

The clear-minded ones must then answer five multiple-choice questions using only the information their bestie had told them.

The person to answer the most questions correctly would win the competition for his or her "Festie Bestie" pair.

Kyle planned to play for Alyssa's safety because he said he loved her, but Daniel wanted to win to keep nominations the same to protect Nicole.

In the end, Kyle and Daniel won the golden Power of Veto, so they were both going to be safe for the week. It would only take one of them to decide to use the Veto.

Kyle planned to definitely use the Veto on Alyssa, but Daniel didn't want to use it at all.

Michael proceeded to convince "The Leftovers" that not using the Power of Veto would be best for them all because Indy would eventually join their group, if Alyssa got sent packing.

"Let's be honest, America, I'm trying to keep these Leftovers fresh all summer," Monte said in the Diary Room.

But Monte knew the tricky part would be convincing Kyle not to use the Veto. They explained how bringing Indy would insulate Michael and Brittany, but Kyle really struggled with the decision on a moral level.

Everyone was coming at Kyle telling him not to use the Veto, but he didn't know what to do. He didn't want to betray Alyssa again, because it would probably mean losing her.

Monte then told Nicole and Daniel that he wasn't confident in where the votes would be going and he didn't want to "look like a fool" if Taylor ultimately stayed when she had been his target. Monte was therefore talking about leaving nominations the same.

But neither Nicole or Daniel believed what Monte was saying. Nicole, in fact, said Monte had dropped "a load of crap" on them. Daniel said he lost trust in Monte after the Ameerah Jones vote, and Nicole said she could tell through Monte's face that he was lying to her.

Daniel knew that Monte was trying to protect Taylor, and so Daniel planned to use the Veto just because Monte didn't want him to use it. Daniel then told Kyle about what had happened.

Kyle "played dumb" with Daniel so they could save Alyssa together, and he said Daniel was about to make "one of the dumbest moves" in Big Brother history because he'd be allowing the house to backdoor his best friend.

At the Veto Meeting, Kyle and Daniel announced they had decided to use the Power of Veto on Indy and Alyssa.

Monte therefore named Taylor and Nicole the replacement nominees. He declared how this was the best decision for his game.

"It only takes one of us to use the Veto, and Daniel was going to whether I wanted to or not. I actually get the best of both worlds in this situation," Kyle explained in the Diary Room.

"I look good to Alyssa because I saved her and I technically didn't go against what 'The Leftover' alliance wanted. Now, Operation Backdoor Nicole can proceed as planned."

Brittany admitted she was confused and a little disappointed because her and Michael would have no insulation or protection, which would hurt their alliance in general.

Taylor was also wondering what happened, but she intended to send Nicole out the door.

Nicole said she was excited to be on the chopping block because she was convinced Monte's plan was going to backfire and Taylor was going to be out.
