Big Brother featured the Head of Household, Tommy Bracco, nominating Cliff Hogg and Kathryn Dunn for eviction as well as the special "field trip" competition, which resulted in Christie Murphy's placement on the chopping block, during Sunday night's Season 21 broadcast on CBS.

The Big Brother broadcast began on Day 51 with Tommy being crowned the new Head of Household on his birthday. Tommy's goal for HoH was to set himself up for the next few weeks ahead.

Tommy wanted to keep the Six Shooters together, without Jack Matthews, but Jackson Michie wasn't exactly onboard.

Meanwhile, Jessica Milagros celebrated sending Jack packing and breaking up the alliance of six. She feared, however, them getting back together.

Christie and Annaliese Talavera were thrilled Tommy had come into power, and the girls agreed his victory was for Jack.

Cliff wondered, however, if Tommy was going to blame him for not taking Jack's deal and evicting him. Cliff feared Tommy was going to come after him as a result.

Kat also felt Tommy winning was her worst case scenario because he had previously attempted to rally the house to flip on her and evict her.

Nicole Anthony admitted Big Brother was "amazing" but also "horrifying."

Michie and Holly Allen worried Tommy was going to come after them, especially since Christie would be in his ear, but Tommy and Holly had apparently mended fences.

Michie then spoke to Tommy privately and promised his word. Michie told Tommy to play his best game, but Tommy didn't know whom he could trust and who was working with whom.

On a game level, Tommy didn't think it would be wise to target one of the Six Shooters even though they were no longer together. Michie didn't want the six to reunite, but he told Tommy exactly what he wanted to hear.

Tommy told Christie he wanted to nominate Cliff and Kat, with the intention of taking Kat out first, and Christie seemed to agree.

Tommy said it would be important for them to get the numbers back and weaken the other side of the house. Tommy even considered taking Cliff off and nominating Nicole as a pawn to make sure Cliff would go home.

Tommy said Kat was the smartest player in the house and had good working relationships with every person in the house. Considering he also thought Kat was a competition beast, he wanted her gone.

Cliff then touched base with Tommy, who didn't want Cliff to think he was the target. Tommy hoped to keep Cliff in his back pocket, but he acknowledged it would be "a tricky dance" to pull off.

Kat then cried to Michie about how she was on the bottom of the house again. Kat didn't like Michie, but for some reason, she still trusted him -- and she said the situation sucked.

Tommy assured Kat the alliance of six was not getting back together, but she called him out to cameras as being the worst liar ever.

The houseguests were then asked to gather in the living room, and they learned America had been voting for the previous eight days to send three houseguests on "a field trip" and take part in a special competition.

The houseguests discovered the winner would be safe from eviction, the second-place finisher would receive a punishment -- which turned out to be a giant chicken suit -- and the houseguest to finish the competition in last place would be put on the chopping block as a third nominee for the week.

Christie cried, thinking America voted for her to compete in the competition because they didn't like her. Michie and Holly celebrated the idea of Michie potentially winning safety and Christie going up on the chopping block -- without getting blood on either of their hands.

Analyse was then shown telling Tommy she could throw the "field trip" competition in order to prevent Christie from going home since Michie and Holly would vote her out.

Tommy thought Analyse on the chopping block would be best case scenario because no one would vote her out.

"Is this smart? I don't know. I want you to call the shot," Tommy told Analyse.

It then became time for the special competition, which required Christie, Michie and Analyse to maneuver eggs through the outside of a chicken coup and then roll one egg at a time down a ramp in attempt to knock down four letters that spelled "Safe."

Michie won the competition and was declared safe for the week. Analyse said she wanted to throw the competition but since Christie was so bad at it, Analyse's goal would've been obvious.

As a result, Christie finished in third place and was placed on the chopping block as a third nominee.

Analyse, Christie and Michie felt they had competed in the competition because America hated them. Michie assumed Cliff would have competed if America voted for their favorite player to participate.

Nick Maccarone, however, hoped to win the Power of Veto and use it on Christie. He wanted to play with them going forward because he thought they were better players than the other side of the house.

Tommy said Christie was his girl and the idea of her going home during his Head of Household reign was "outrageous."

Kat fought to avoid the block by telling Tommy that he could move forward with her and she'd never vote for Christie to go home. Tommy wasn't sure what to do or how to handle the cards he had been dealt.

At the Nomination Ceremony, Tommy announced he had decided to nominate Cliff and Kat for eviction because he feared their social games and strategic gameplay. Tommy said he loved both players, but Kat broke down into tears and apologized for being dramatic.

Cliff thought sitting next to Christie was a blessing because he assumed he had enough votes to send her home. And Michie hoped the house would send Christie packing.

"I'm on the block. I thought that I was tough, but I'm not," Christie cried in a confessional.
