Big Brother featured Tyler Crispen winning the Power of Veto competition and deciding not to use the veto during Wednesday night's Season 20 episode on CBS.

Tyler opting out of using the veto left Rachel Swindler and Brett Robinson -- two members of Tyler's own alliance -- on the chopping block this week heading into the next live eviction under Bayleigh Dayton's Head of Household reign.

The Big Brother broadcast began on Day 38, with Bayleigh having nominated Brett and Rachel for eviction.

Bayleigh said Brett was her target this week because he's "dangerous, slick and a smooth talker," not to mention a physical threat as well, while Rachel was a good pawn because she probably wouldn't hold a grudge and -- if Bayleigh managed to save her -- Rachel might be loyal to her later in the game.

Rachel then cried to cameras about how she hated the feeling of being on the chopping block. Even though she knew she wasn't the target, she worried how being loyal to her alliance, such as Brett and Angela Rummans, is negatively affecting her personal game.

Meanwhile, Tyler Crispen worried he was "a backdoor option," but Bayleigh later assured him that wasn't the case. Tyler said he'd like to play in the Power of Veto competition, but Bayleigh asked him to keep nominations the same.

"I'm going to try to take Brett or Rachel off and keep Level 6 together, maybe," Tyler said in a Diary Room interview.

Tyler and Bayleigh then talked about which players in the house had Power Apps, and ironically, it was the two of them.

Bayleigh has the "Identity Theft" power in which she can control nominations one week, while Tyler holds "The Cloud" power in which he can keep himself safe at a Nomination Ceremony or Veto Meeting one time.

JC Mounduix then decided to go behind Faysal Shafaat's back and tell Bayleigh that he was acting like a king in the house and taking credit for her decision to nominate Rachel as a pawn instead of JC. Bayleigh was annoyed by Faysal's confidence, and JC's plan to build tension or mistrust between Bayleigh and Faysal was working.

Bayleigh confronted Faysal about his attitude, but he denied ever wanting to take over her HoH or steal her thunder.

Afterward, Rachel let Bayleigh know she was uncomfortable with Brett being on the block and the main target. She was hoping to shift Bayleigh's gameplan by saying Brett shielded her in the house and his eviction would be bad for her game.

Since Rachel had to fight hard for the veto, she was also concerned the house would begin to view her as a physical threat and strong player.

Bayleigh understood where Rachel was coming from, but at the same time, the HoH thought he was bad for everyone else's game. Bayleigh told Rachel to stop worrying about Brett because he's a big boy.

"You worrying about Brett and questioning my every move is making me rethink why I'm even protecting you," Bayleigh told the cameras, before accusing Rachel of showering her with negative energy and pushing her to snap.

It then became time to pick players for the Power of Veto competition. Bayleigh selected Sam Bledsoe, Rachel picked JC, and Brett selected Tyler.

Brett thought Tyler playing in the Power of Veto was "best case scenario," and Tyler was also stoked he could play and try to keep himself safe. However, if Tyler won, he'd be forced to decide whether to save Brett -- and in that case, he'd piss Bayleigh off.

The Power of Veto competition required one player at a time to use puzzle pieces to pave a road "across town." There was only one way to complete the puzzle, and once the route was completed, the houseguest had to drive lifesize cardboard cutouts of previously-evicted houseguests to a party.

The player to finish the competition in the fastest time would win the golden power of veto.

Tyler ended up winning the Power of Veto with a time of six minutes and 54 seconds. Brett finished in second place with a time of 10 minutes and 59 seconds. But the two guys crushed the race, as it took two houseguests 30 minutes each to get the job done.

Bayleigh then asked Tyler to keep nominations the same, but in the case someone used a Power App, she said Angela would be the replacement nominee.

In order to take the target off another one of his alliance members, Tyler tried to use a little reverse psychology on Bayleigh by telling her Scottie Salton was his best -- and only -- friend in the house.

Tyler figured if Bayleigh got angry at him for saving Brett, she might nominate Scottie as the replacement in order to seek revenge on Tyler and get him back. However, that's exactly what Tyler would want to happen.

Bayleigh then warned Rachel that Tyler had said he'd want Angela to be the replacement nominee, which got Rachel thinking Tyler wanted to take a girl out of the game. Bayleigh therefore suggested the girls should stick together, especially since only four guys remained and there were seven girls left in the house.

"I'll be loyal to you. You can count on me. I want you to know that. I have your back," Rachel told Bayleigh.

As expected, Rachel went running to Angela with this news, and Angela was shocked and admitted in a confessional it didn't make sense because she was close to Tyler and he wasn't even on the chopping block. Angela then spoke to Kaycee Clark about Tyler's alleged goal as well, and Kaycee couldn't imagine him saying that.

"My bullsh-t alarm goes off at this point. Rachel is so full of crap," Angela noted.

Angela believed Tyler and thought Rachel was lying. Since Rachel was throwing Tyler's name under the bus, it made him think the right decision was saving Brett. Angela, in fact, even mentioned the possibility of getting rid of Rachel now when they had the chance because she was acting shady and untrustworthy.

However, Rachel insisted to Angela she was "ride or die" with her alliance members. And to solidify her bond with Angela, Rachel shared that Bayleigh has the power to change nominations.

Tyler then learned the information from Angela, and he realized using the veto would be even more of a risk because if he saved Brett, Bayleigh could end up putting Tyler on the chopping block with the use of her power next week.

At the Veto Meeting, Tyler decided to keep Bayleigh's nominations the same, knowing she could come after him with a Power App. Tyler, however, didn't want to see Brett leave the game, and Brett had every intention of fighting to stay.
