Big Brother's final Season 23 episode will air immediately after a regular Survivor 41 broadcast airing from 8-9PM ET/PT.

In a departure from recent years, Big Brother's finale will not immediately follow the premiere of Survivor's new season.

Instead, Season 41 of Survivor is set to premiere one week earlier with a two-hour episode on Wednesday, September 22 at 8PM ET/PT.

When CBS previously aired Survivor's premiere and Big Brother's finale on the same night, both episodes were 90 minutes long.

Big Brother premiered on July 7 and is already heading into its first Power of Veto competition and eviction of the summer.

At the first Nomination Ceremony of the summer, Brandon "Frenchie" French, 34-year-old farmer from Camden, TN who currently resides in Clarksville, TN, decided to put both Alyssa Lopez, a 24-year-old swimwear designer from Sarasota, FL, and Kyland Young, a 29-year-old account executive from San Bernardino County, CA, on the chopping block.

Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves announced a new "Wild Card Competition" last week in which one member from each team of players is selected each week to compete for safety.

The winner of the competition gets to spin a wheel determining how many other houseguests on his or her team will be safe for the week, but if the spin only lands on No. 1 or No. 2, the winner must pick favorites to protect.

Big Brother will continue to air three episodes every week on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday nights from 8-9PM ET/PT this summer, with the Thursday-night episodes featuring a live eviction.

Big Brother follows a group of strangers living together in a house together that's outfitted with 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day.

Each week, a Big Brother houseguest or two will be voted out of the house, and the last houseguest remaining will win the show's biggest grand prize ever of $750,000.

The large grand prize ties into Big Brother's theme this season of gambling and taking risks in the hope of receiving big rewards.
