While Steve the famous Crocodile Hunter is deceased and his unexpected passing made national headlines, the judge still requires proof via his signature or at least a death certificate so that Bindi can get paid by ABC.
Steve famously died while filming The Crocodile Hunter in 2006.
Bindi's Dancing with the Stars contract guarantees her $125K for joining the show, $20,000 total for making it to Weeks 3 and 4, $5,000 each week for advancing all the way to Week 7, and then finally an additional $30,000 for surviving Week 8 and 9, according to E! News.
Bindi has already earned herself $230,000, and if she makes it to the finale, she'll reportedly rack in a total of $360,000.
Bindi is paired with Derek Hough on Dancing with the Stars and is one of the top performers and scorers so far this season. The show airs Monday nights at 8PM ET/PT on ABC with occasional Tuesday night broadcasts.
