One day prior to Bloom's big announcement, the attorney took it upon herself to write on Twitter, "My take: what Rob Kardashian did to Blac Chyna could be 'revenge porn,' and illegal. Women, stand up for our rights!"
Chyna, 29, is taking legal action after being subjected to her ex-fiance's explicit rant on Instagram in which Kardashian shared three alleged nude photos of her breasts and genitals.
The 30-year-old former Keeping Up with the Kardashians star also accused Chyna of being a gold digger, abusing alcohol, doing drugs, and cheating with as many as seven male sexual partners "in less than a month."
Kardashian also alleged he paid for a $100,000 weight-loss surgery for Chyna after she gave birth.
"Lisa Bloom is the best in the business and has the right sensitivities and skill set to handle this delicate and complex matter," Chyna's representative and Bloom's co-counsel Walter Mosley told People.
"She's a warrior for women's rights and that's the type of lawyer we need right now."
Mosley had told E! News on Thursday that Chyna's legal team is taking "this assault" against her "very seriously" and all "legal remedies" are being explored right now.
"Note to Rob Kardashian: revenge porn is a crime. And in my Mischa Barton case judge agreed it's a form of domestic violence. Knock it off," Bloom tweeted on July 5 when Kardashian was ranting about all of Chyna's alleged offenses.
If charged for revenge porn under the California Penal Code, Kardashian could reportedly face up to six months in jail and a hefty fine.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Chyna declared that she got into an argument with Kardashian this past April in which he swore at her in front of her son with Tyga, King Cairo, before allegedly pushing her to the ground and "aggressively shoving" her.
Chyna claimed she was bruised from the incident and could barely walk.

Chyna also alleged in her legal documents to obtain a restraining order that she's been officially broken up with Kardashian since December 2016.
"Rob has been violent with me in the past and I am afraid to be around him," Chyna said, TMZ reported, adding that Kardashian's decision to post personal information about her on Instagram is textbook cyberbullying and slut-shaming.
Chyna reportedly requested that Kardashian stay at least 100 yards away from her. She's allegedly able to record any communication Kardashian attempts to make with her that would be violating the order.
Kardashian has reportedly since cut Chyna off financially and deleted his Instagram account.
An insider told E! News that Kardashian's family is "very disappointed" in him.
"Although the family has never been a fan of Chyna, they want what is best for Dream," the insider said of Chyna and Kardashian's seven-month-old baby girl. "The family is trying to focus on the positive things going on in their lives and hope that Rob will calm down and stop airing dirty laundry."
The tumultuous twosome got engaged in April 2016 and welcomed Dream in November of that year. In recent months prior to Kardashian's rant on social media, he and Chyna appeared to be on good terms and reports of a reconciliation even surfaced.
The pair was last spotted together celebrating Father's Day at Disneyland in June 2017.
