The Voice's new coaching panel of Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys came together to perform Aerosmith's "Dream On" in memory of slain former contestant Christina Grimmie during Sunday night's special post-Olympics Season 11 preview broadcast.
The cover of the hit 1973 rock ballad premiered Sunday during a special preview of what fans can expect for Season 11 of "The Voice" when it returns Sept. 19 on NBC.
With the crowd on their feet, Keys started off the performance playing the piano before Levine jumped in with a guitar.
At one point, all four music stars joined together to harmonize the song's lyrics before ending with Levine impersonating Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler's high-pitch closing segment.
As the screen went black, a dedication for Grimmie graced the screen. "In loving memory of our friend Christina Grimmie," it read.
Grimmie was gunned down back in June as she was signing autographs and selling merchandise following a concert in Orlando.
The shooter, 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl, fatally shot himself after he was tackled to the ground by Grimmie's brother Marcus.
Grimmie 22, was known for competing on "The Voice" and finishing in third place during Season 6 after she was discovered on Youtube.
