Blake Shelton has been dubbed a hero in Oklahoma.

The 39-year-old The Voice coach helped to save four young men -- Bryar Blanton, Josh Turner, Lenyell Blanton and Adrian Poplin -- who were stuck in a mudslide Friday, Entertainment Tonight reported.

The incident occurred near the Washita River in Ardmore, OK, where Shelton happened to be at the right place at the right time.

"Me and my buddies were checking out the river, when some of my buddies [accidentally] slid into a big mud hole and got stuck for about two hours," Bryar explained. "Me and Adrian started walking down the road [looking for help] and [then] Blake and his dog, Betty, stopped and picked us up in his truck."

Bryar continued: "[Blake] told us to hop in. Then, we went back to the river [where my friends were stuck] and he tried to get them out with his truck. He couldn't do it, so he said he would be back in 15 minutes with his tractor."

Shelton then left with the intention to return and rescue the trapped boys, who were shocked and ecstatic the country singer stepped up to the plate.

"I was just like, 'Heck yeah!' and asked him for a photo with us," Bryar added. "He lives about 45 minutes from me."

Bryar told ET that Shelton really helped them out and then talked to them for a minute before taking off.

"He said he had to go," Bryar said. "He had his bow with him and he talked to us about hunting. He's an all-around nice, caring guy."

The pair later had an exchange on Twitter about the interesting events that had transpired.

"Just wanna thank you for helping us yesterday man," Bryar tweeted.

"No problem.. Now you boys stay outta jail!!! Ha!!!" Shelton replied.

Shelton is making a pattern with his rescue efforts. He assisted a stranded man named Roho Hartman this past June by towing his truck when it got stuck on a flooded road as a result of Tropical Storm Bill.
