Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani haven't been shy when it comes to showing their affection for one another in public, but now Shelton is even comfortable gushing about how much he loves to be around her.

The Voice coaches Shelton, Stefani, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams recently conducted an interview with Extra during which Shelton, 39, exposed his true feelings about Stefani leaving The Voice before Season 10 -- although her departure is probably only temporary so Christina Aguilera can return.
"I don't want Gwen to not be on the show, like, why can't we have a fifth coach?" Shelton said with a sad expression on his face.
When asked why The Voice can't have two females starring on the show, Shelton quipped, "Why can't we?!"
"I vote for that!" the country star added.

Since Stefani, 46, is taking a break from The Voice, what does she plan to do with all her free time?
"I'm probably going to put out my record," Stefani began, as Levine excitedly yelled, "Yes!"
"And do some shows," the pop rocker continued, and "maybe" tour.
Stefani was then questioned whom she'll miss most on the NBC reality singing competition.
"I wonder...," the No Doubt songstress said with a straight face. "I'll miss the combination [of all the coaches]. It's the chemistry. I'm already so devastated... that I'm not going to be around these guys. It's hurting me."

Stefani also admitted she's sad about only having a couple wardrobe changes left on The Voice's ninth season.
Shelton isn't the only guy in the group who will miss Stefani. Levine pointed out Stefani's presence on the show is always a treat.
"I think Gwen has been a stand-out moment. I think every show, Gwen has been a stand-out moment. Look at her!" Levine said. "We were just saying how we look the same -- even Pharrell's got some eclectic style -- but somehow, when Gwen walks in the room, we all look like we've been wearing the same outfit for 10 years."
The coaches then joked around about which celebrities they'd want to play them if movies were dedicated to their lives. Shelton said Bradley Cooper, which had the other three coaches roaring with laughter, and then he said Chelsea Handler should play Stefani.
