"Contrary to what's been reported, my client, Max Lomas, was the person who first discovered Bobbi Kristina and called 911," Holloway told Us, shooting down reports her longtime love Nick Gordon was the person to actually find her.
"My client wants nothing more than to see a full recovery. He and Krissi have been friends for many, many years, and he is absolutely devastated and prays for her immediate recovery."
As previously reported, Gordon attempted to revive Brown before she was rushed to a hospital in Roswell, GA, and placed in a medically induced coma.
Brown only is breathing with the aid of a ventilator and has very little brain activity, a family insider told People.
The former The Houstons: On Our Own star, the 21-year-old daughter of singer Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, was transferred on Monday from North Fulton Hospital to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, where she can receive the best neurological treatment.
Holloway insisted to Us that Lomas is doing all he can "to cooperate with authorities" in their investigation of what happened. He also said Lomas's January 14 arrest for possession of drugs with intent to distribute is irrelevant in this case.
"It's been reported that his arrest in the middle of January might somehow be related; there is nothing further from the truth," Holloway said.
According to the magazine, an official press release stated that Lomas "has pleaded not guilty" to drug charges and there's "absolutely no relationship" between his past and Brown's current physical state and mentality.
"Mr. Lomas has not been accused of anything in connection with Bobbi Kristina Brown's injuries and is a witness in this investigation," the press release reportedly explained. "Mr. Lomas' main focus is on Ms. Brown's full recovery, and he continues to pray for her and her entire family throughout this tragedy."
