Andrew Bloom and J Hype were placed in the bottom three with Devin Hayes, a 17-year-old from Springfield, IL.
J Hype and Devin both fell into the bottom three because although they had talent, charisma and great onstage energy, their vocals were lacking. Timbaland said J Hype, being so young, also has a lot more to learn.
Andrew was up for elimination because while his voice is very strong, the architects believe he was missing elements of what a boy-band member possesses and embodies.
J Hype performed "Jealous" with his group called New Wave. The band also featured Marcus Pendleton, a 16-year-old from Nashville, TN; Sergio Calderon, a 16-year-old from Redwood City, CA; and Mikey Jimenez, a 17-year-old from East Los Angeles, CA.
Andrew Bloom took the stage with his new band called Relentless, and they sang "Since U Been Gone."
Relentless also included Brady Tutton, a 15-year-old from Shorewood, WI; Jaden Gray, a 16-year-old from Hawthorne, CA; and Michael Conor, a 17-year-old from Cleveland, OH.
American ultimately texted to save Devin, who performed "Without You" with his band Awake. Devin was joined by Drew Ramos, a 19-year-old from Bronx, NY, and Chance Perez, a 19-year-old from Seal Beach, CA.
Neither of the three groups were granted immunity this week, so the bottom three could have been any members from any group.
Michael, Jaden, Drew, Mikey, Sergio and Chance were showered with compliments by the architects after their respective performances.
Mikey, for example, was told he proved to the architects he belongs in the competition after they had placed him in the bottom two multiple times before. Nick admitted that his panel was wrong about him, and America was right.
For each episode, the architects shuffle contestants to find the best combination of voices to perform for America.

After critiquing each band's performance, the architects must collectively determine the two contestants who are up for elimination each week, and then America texts to save one of the boys. As the show gets further down the road, the bottom-two boys will sing "survival" songs for home viewers before voting commences.
Boy Band's final and official group will win a recording contract with Hollywood Records. In the finale, America's favorite five band members will debut and perform a brand new single together called "Eyes Closed."
"Eyes Closed" was written by songwriter Justin Tranter, who is behind 10 major pop hits that have gone platinum -- including "Cake By the Ocean" by DNCE, "Sorry" by Justin Bieber, "Can't Keep My Hands To Myself" by Selena Gomez, and "Issues" by Julia Michaels.
