A questionable decision followed by an unlucky twist of fate proved to be too much for the "Married Couple" team of Brad and Victoria Hunt to overcome, causing them to become the third team to be eliminated from The Amazing Race 14 during last night's broadcast on CBS.

"This great race is gonna be with us forever, I can't think of a better person to share this experience with than Victoria," said Brad, a 52-year-old distribution dispatcher from Columbus, OH.

"We're in a really good place in our lives to begin with," added Victoria, a 47-year-old tax manager. "We understand and accept our differences, but this wonderful adventure around the world is gonna change the way we view our lives together."

The Amazing Race 14's third episode began with the nine remaining teams departing the Race's second Pit Stop at Schloss Hellbrunn in Salzburg, Austria. Following the mandatory rest period, the "Sibling Lawyers" team of Tammy Jih, a 26-year-old lawyer from San Francisco, CA, and Victor Jih, a 35-year-old lawyer from Los Angeles, CA, where the first team to depart at 10:13AM and received a clue instructing them to take a train to Munich, Germany and then fly 700 miles to Bucharest, Romania and travel to a renowned gymnastics hall for their next clue.

They were followed by the teams of "Father and Son" Mel White, a 68-year-old writer/clergyman from Lynchberg, VA and Mike White, a 28-year-old writer, producer and actor from Santa Monica, CA, who left at 12.01PM; "Dating Couple" Amanda Blackledge, a 23-year-old student from San Diego, CA and Kris Klicka, a 24-year-old sales representative from San Diego, CA, at 12:12PM; "Mother and Son" Margie Adams, a 51-year-old clinical research associate from Denver, CO, and Luke Adams, a 23-year-old college graduate from Denver, CO, at 12:30PM; Brad and Victoria at 12:53PM; "Former NFL Cheerleaders" Cara Rosenthal, a 26-year-old law student from Boca Raton, FL, and Jaime Edmondson, a 29-year-old former police officer from Ft. Lauderdale, FL, at 1:17PM; "Sisters" Jennifer Hoffman, a 24-year-old marketing assistant from Louisville, KY, and LaKisha Hoffman, a 28-year-old program coordinator from Bronx, NY, at 1:51PM; "Brothers/Stuntmen" Mark Munoz, a 48-year-old stuntman/jockey from Los Angeles, CA, and Michael Munoz, a 51-year-old stuntman/actor from Maui, HI, at 2:00PM; and "Flight Attendants" Christie Volkmer, a 37-year-old flight attendant from Choctaw, OK, and Jodi Wincheski, a 40-year-old flight attendant from Houston, TX, at 2:42PM.

After arriving at the Munich airport, Tammy and Victor thought they had managed to build on their lead when they were able to upgrade from their 4:45PM flight to a 3:20PM flight. However, soon after the flight's takeoff, a mechanical error on the plane forced the flight to turn around and return to Munich, erasing Tammy and Victor's lead.

While on the train to Munich, the teams of Amanda and Kris and Brad and Victoria both received help from passengers who told them that there were 4:45PM and 9:30PM flights leaving from Munich for Bucharest. Both teams were also told that it would be very hard for them to get to the airport in time for the 4:45PM flight.

However, while Amanda and Kris still decided to race to the airport and try to get on the 4:45PM flight, Brad and Victoria decided not to.  Instead, they opted for another option that required them to take a 7:30PM flight to Amsterdam and then board another Bucharest-bound flight that was scheduled to land in Bucharest before the 9:30PM flight from Munich.

"We thought if we got on that 9:30PM flight there'd be a handful of teams there, but we wanted to try to get ahead of them," Brad said.

Amanda and Kris were able to get to the airport in time and get on the 4:45PM flight along with the teams of Mel and Mike and Margie and Luke. Following their flight's emergency landing back in Munich, Tammy and Victor got stuck on a bus that forced them to miss the 4:45PM flight and settle with the 9:30PM flight instead, which they shared with the teams of Mark and Michael, Jennifer and LaKisha, Jaime and Cara, and Christie and Jodie.

Brad and Victoria's hopes of getting a jump on the contestants on the 9:30PM flight proved to be fruitless when, upon arriving in Amsterdam after a delay, they were shocked to learn that their connecting flight had already left and they would have to wait until 9:15AM the following morning for the next flight to Bucharest.

After the 4:45PM flight arrived in Bucharest, the teams raced to the gymnastics hall, with Amanda and Kris becoming the first team to receive a clue that it was time for the teams to complete a Roadblock task that required one member of each team to learn and execute a series of gymnastics moves on the balance beam, parallel bars and in a floor exercise.

Amanda chose to do the challenge for her team, as did Margie, and Mike from the teams from the first flight. When the teams from the second flight arrived at the hall later, Christie, LaKisha, Mark, Jaime and Tammy chose to represent their teams, while Victoria eventually represented her team when she and Brad arrived much later.

Amanda didn't relinquish her team's lead and they were the first to receive the next clue which instructed the teams to travel by train to the Biserica Neagra, or the Black Church, in Brasov, Transylvania to receive their next clue. However, upon arriving at the train station, she and Kris learned that they would have to wait until 6:30AM the following morning for the first train to Brasov. They were eventually met at the train station by all of the teams except for Brad and Victoria, who were still stuck in Amsterdam.

After the Roadblock, Tammy vented that she felt Victor was being too bossy and not listening to her suggestions.

'It's frustrating, when we're racing I have some good ideas, but he just won't listen to me and that's frustrating," she said. "He thinks I'm weak, he thinks I get paralyzed and can't do things and he thinks that he's accommodating for me a lot. I'm not really sure how to deal with it."

The following morning all of the teams -- with the exception of Brad and Victoria who still were waiting for their 9:15AM flight out of Amsterdam -- left for Brasov on the 6:30AM train. Upon arriving in Brasov, Amanda and Kris were the first team to grab a taxi and arrive at the Biserica Neagra to receive the next clue, which informed the teams that they had to complete one of two Detour tasks: "Gypsy Moves" or "Vampire Remains."

"Gypsy Moves" required the teams to travel to a nearby gypsy settlement and load an entire family's belongings onto a horse-drawn carriage and then navigate the carriage to another site and unload the family's items in order to receive their next clue.

"Vampire Remains" required the teams to make their way into the woods and find a group of coffins filled with frames and drag one down a hill to a field filled with sharpened wooden stakes. After using keys to open several chained locks on the coffin, the teams would have to break the frames on the stakes until they found one containing a flag, which would enable them to receive their next clue.

Amanda and Kris chose "Gypsy," while Christie and Jodie arrived at the church second and chose to do "Vampire." They were followed by Tammy and Victor (who chose "Vampire"), Jennifer and LaKisha ("Gypsy"), Jaime and Cara ("Vampire"), Margie and Luke ("Vampire"), Mel and Mike ("Gypsy"), and Mark and Michael ("Gypsy").

The contestants who chose "Gypsy" seemed to have much easier time with their challenge, as Amanda and Kris, Mel and Mike were the first two teams to finish the challenge and receive the next clue that instructed them to go to the Villa Panoramic, a mountain cottage that would serve as the Pit Stop for the third leg of the race. However, Amanda and Kris lost their lead when Kris realized he had lost his bag with his team's money and passports in it and had to go back and find it, allowing Mike and Mel to take the lead become the first team to meet The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan at the Pit Stop mat.

"To say I'm proud of Mike right now is the understatement of the century," said Mel after arriving at the Pit Stop in first place. "He's one of the very special people that I've met in my life, and not just because he's my son, but because he is special."

Amanda and Kris followed in second place, with Jennifer and LaKisha finishing behind them in third place.

The teams who chose "Dracula" seemed to have a much more difficult time with their challenge. While Margie and Luke and Jaime and Kara both struggled to move their coffins and get them unlocked, Victor mistook some unrelated local markers for the Race markers that indicated where the coffins were located and began climbing a hill and leading his team farther and farther away from the coffins. Tammy had immediately noticed that the markers they were following did not look like the other markers they had seen during the competition, however Victor repeatedly rejected her concerns and insisted they were on the correct path.

"I'm sorry I'm making you do something that [you think is] wrong, but I really think it's right," Victor told Tammy as the wandered around the hill.

"It's just frustrating that we have to follow your gut and not mine," Tammy responded.

It  was not until much later that, on the verge of tears from his frustration, Victor finally listened to Tammy and went back to the bottom of the hill where they found the correct clues to follow.

After completing the Detour, Margie and Luke made their way to the Villa Panoramic to finish in fourth place. They were followed by Mark and Michael -- who out-ran Christie and Jodie in the final stretch to finish ahead of them in fifth place while the flight attendants settled for sixth place. Jaime and Cara followed next, finishing in seventh.

After finally completing the gymnastics roadblock challenge, Victoria held out hope that another team may have also had bad luck and given her team a chance of surviving the leg.

"On this train we were thinking 'Well is it possible another team could've screwed up as bad?' And if they did that we're still in the game," she said.

While Victor and Tammy did their best to let Brad and Victoria into the game after also losing one of the keys needed to open their coffin, they eventually found it and went on to finish in eighth place.

Brad and Victoria finally completed their "Vampire" detour after sundown and made their way to the Pit Stop where they were informed by Phil that they had been eliminated from the competition.
