Poison frontman Bret Michaels had plans for another stage appearance -- scheduled Friday in Biloxi, Miss. -- this time with his doctor's knowledge.
Michaels, 47, who has had a series of serious health issues in recent months, was to appear at the Hard Rock Cafe, the Biloxi venue's Web site indicated.
Michaels' doctor said the rocker wasn't 100 percent, but denying him the opportunity to perform wasn't a realistic option, TMZ.com and other celebrity-tracking Web sites reported. Medical personnel were to be on duty at the concert.
On Wednesday, Michaels shared the stage with "American Idol" contestant Casey James during the reality show's season finale. The two performed Michaels' hit "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."
Michaels earlier showed up for the "Celebrity Apprentice" live finale, where he won the competition.
Michaels said he plans to have heart surgery this fall after he takes care of some of his other health issues. He has been undergoing treatment for a brain hemorrhage he suffered in April, which followed an emergency appendectomy.
Last week, Michaels was hospitalized again for what was classified as a warning stroke. While undergoing tests, he learned he had a hole in his heart. Doctors said he will be treated for his various health issues on an outpatient basis.
