Bret Michaels will apparently soon be back at full rock star strength.

The musician and reality TV star is scheduled to undergo a procedure to close a hole in his heart in Arizona on Monday, The Associated Press reported.

Michaels' Patent Forum Ovale, or hole in the heart, was discovered after he suffered a "warning stroke" last May, which came less than a month after he suffered a massive brain hemorrhage while recovering from an emergency appendectomy. However, doctors said it was "highly unlikely" the warning stroke was connected to the hemorrhage.

Although he suffered the warning stroke less than a week before The Celebrity Apprentice's third-season finale, Michaels still attended the live event, which ended with Donald Trump declaring him the competition's champion.

According to The AP, Michaels' procedure -- which is being performed by a surgical team at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix-- involves a cardiac catheterization, in which doctors insert a catheter into a vein in the groin and direct wires and a closure device into the heart. Cameras are used to assist the doctors as they operate to patch the hole.

In order to maintain normal blood flow, the closure device will stay in Michaels' heart permanently.

The former Rock of Love and current Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It star would reportedly be at risk for developing new clots and suffering additional strokes if his blood flow wasn't corrected.
