A British TV nanny is said to have falsified qualifications she used to back up "outdated and potentially harmful" infant-care techniques.

About 12 weeks ago, Silver River television producers requested the "Bringing up Baby" nanny, Claire Verity, to provide documented proof of qualification claims submitted by her agent, The Times of London reported Saturday. She reportedly has failed to do so.
Verity's unconventional au pair methods, which she said were backed up by several diplomas from childcare institutions, included 10-minute-per-day cuddle limits and leaving crying babies alone.
"This person never enrolled on any of our courses and as such has never been trained by us. We would like to make it quite clear that we do not in any way endorse the methods employed by Ms. Verity in her work," Maternity Nurse Training spokeswoman said.
The TV station reportedly claimed to have no future aims of working with Verity.
