Brooklyn decided to look for love on the beach in Mexico after being rejected by Zach Shallcross before hometown dates on The Bachelor's 27th season, which aired earlier this year.

Brooklyn, an outspoken bachelorette best remembered for her tough exterior but warm heart, teased on the September 12 episode of the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast that "Day 1 [of Paradise] was wild."

"I didn't really know what to expect... but it was a lot of fun," the 25-year-old rodeo racer from Stillwater, OK, continued. "It was twists and turns like right out of the gate."

Brooklyn said the experience was "exciting" right from the get-go, and if she could only choose one word to describe the whole Bachelor in Paradise season, she'd pick "unexpected."

"Paradise was wild," Brooklyn repeated to the podcast's co-hosts, Bachelor in Paradise spouses Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt.

Brooklyn, however, said the first day of filming The Bachelor was "more intimidating" than Paradise because Paradise has "a more laid-back feel."

Brooklyn also said she intended to just "scope out" her options and play it cool on Bachelor in Paradise.

In order to prepare for her stint on Bachelor in Paradise, Brooklyn said she was "at the gym every single day."

She joked, "I was like, 'If I'm about to be in a bikini on national television, I need to go to the gym.' So I did that. And then I [packed] three [bags], which is a lot better than The Bachelor when I had five."

Brooklyn also brought three fans with her to the resort since cast members always complain about the heat and humidity.

While a lot of cast members are just looking to have a good time in Paradise, Brooklyn admitted that she really hoped to find love and end up engaged.

"I feel like I was able to truly be myself on The Bachelor, and I literally have no regrets. So I definitely carried that energy into Paradise," Brooklyn shared.

Brooklyn said she didn't "play it safe" on The Bachelor and so she certainly didn't hold back in Paradise either.

After Zach eliminated Brooklyn on The Bachelor, she told Us Weekly that she felt "blindsided."

"However, you know, having time reflect after that, I do feel like I got the closure I needed, and I respect him for it, truly. While I did feel blindsided in the moment, I respect his decision."

Brooklyn had told the cameras on the show how she was "falling in love" with Zach and could picture herself "spending the rest of my life" with him.

"When you have feelings that strong, they don't ever go away," Brooklyn confessed. "He's a great guy, but you know, if anyone ever has any doubts about me, that's not someone I truly want to be with."

Zach ended up selecting Kaity Biggar as his The Bachelor winner, and the couple is still happily engaged and living together in Austin, TX.

Brooklyn will be among the 18 bachelors and bachelorettes who will be shown arriving on the beach in Paradise right away.

During a sneak peek video of Season 9 of Bachelor in Paradise, which aired during the finale of Charity Lawson's The Bachelorette season, host Jesse Palmer said in a voiceover, "Get ready for a wild time on the beach -- sexy dates and four former Bachelorettes crashing the party. Plus, someone has a serious medical emergency."

Jesse added, "Who will find their soul mate? Who will leave in tears? And who will decide to get MARRIED in Paradise?!"

According to ABC, three former The Bachelorette stars -- Charity, Katie Thurston and Hannah Brown -- will make a cameo appearance on Bachelor in Paradise, presumably to hand out Date Cards or host dates for couples.

In July, spoilers surfaced revealing some of what happened and which couples left together when Bachelor in Paradise's ninth season was filmed in Mexico in June.
