Bruce Jenner survived a car accident that killed a 70-year-old woman in Malibu on Saturday and now he's ready to talk about it.

"My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident," the 65-year-old former Olympian told People in a statement. "It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time."
Jenner, a Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, was one of four vehicles involved in the crash on Pacific Coast Highway -- only several miles from Jenner's home.
Sgt. Philip Brooks from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff Station told People the collision occurred when a Prius stopped on the highway for unknown reasons and then a white Lexus hit it followed by Jenner's car. Once the Lexus reportedly skidded out into oncoming traffic, a black Hummer crashed into it, which ultimately killed the driver of the Lexus.
"I am praying for them," Jenner continued. "I will continue to cooperate in every way possible."

Sgt. Brooks denied reports which claim Jenner -- who has made headlines in recent weeks for his desire to become a woman -- was at fault for the accident because he was attempting to avoid paparazzi. He said "no evidence" supported the idea that photographers were driving recklessly on the highway.
Sgt. Brooks also confirmed to the magazine that Jenner's phone records were never checked to figure out whether he was texting while driving.
According to a source, the reality TV star was absolutely not texting on his phone at the time of the crash.
The investigation will continue although police officials told People that Jenner passed a field sobriety test, took a blood test at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, CA, and has been cooperating with authorities.
