Bruce Jenner may be taking legal action over the picture of him in a maxi dress that circulated in the media two days before his 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer.

The 65-year-old former Olympian, who came out in public as transgender Friday, is claiming the image was distributed to the Daily News and CNN by the photo agency X-17 and the company violated his privacy because the picture was snapped with a telephoto lens -- which, when used to capture "personal or familial activity," is a violation of privacy laws in California.
"The photos were clearly unlawfully taken from a very long distance using an enhancement device. Bruce Jenner is going to enforce his right to privacy," Jenner's attorney Marty Singer told The Post.
The Daily News and CNN, however, apparently discontinued their use of Jenner's dress photo after such findings.
"[They] pulled the photos sold to them by X17 once they found out they were illegally obtained. The agency no longer is selling those photos [since] they confirmed they were shot illegally," Jenner's representative said in a statement.
A spokesperson for the Daily News also released a statement to the Los Angeles Times regarding this mishap.
"We removed the pictures from our digital platforms after we became aware of new information in relation to the circumstances of how -- and where -- they were taken," the spokesperson explained.
