Cameron Mathison accumulated thousands of frequent-flyer miles over the last couple months, as the soap star had been spending half his week in New York to shoot All My Children before traveling to Los Angeles to rehearse for and participate in Dancing with the Stars fifth season.

"It was such an incredible experience," continued Mathison. "I think the fact that I was having so much fun during it was allowing me to live on two or three hours of sleep a night... It was just like one big rush."
Mathison and his professional partner Edyta Sliwinska were eliminated from Dancing with the Stars 5 on the cusp of making it to the show's semifinal round. However when you consider Mathison suffered from a degenerate bone disease that required him to wear braces on his legs until he was 7-years-old, the fact he made it as far as he did is a noteworthy accomplishment.
"My parents knew what to do right away," said Mathison during his Good Morning America appearance, which also included Sliwinska. "I got very lucky and came out of that. I'm able to run around and dance on TV!"
Not only was Mathison able to dance -- but he and Swilinska also had one of the fifth season's most impressive moves in their repertoire -- which saw him jump over her head during one of their routines.
"There's an incredible amount of trust that I have in Cameron," said Sliwinska. "We started with me ducking a little bit down, and finally we got to the point where he could jump over my head without any problem."
Mathison also addressed the heckling he received from Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman, who complained about the soap star wearing a shirt during Monday night's performance episode that revealed his bare chest.
"I think he's got a great sense of humor," said Mathison of Goodman. "Clearly with [Maksim Chmerkovskiy] -- who's one of the pro dancers on the show -- I think I'm dressed very conservatively."
