Hooked Up is a one-hour six-episode series that whisks 10 gorgeous women and 10 handsome men off on a journey to find their perfect mate. The show invites viewers to witness the "rocky road of love, betrayal and intimate affairs" in an unscripted and unpredictably wild series as 20 singles set a course for true love on a multi-week adventure in Canada’s Rocky Mountains. In the mountains, the charismatic men and women finally meet with the hope of making that “special” connection. They are, however, faced with the prospect that anything goes in the game of love.
Hooked Up introduces the group to an adventure of a lifetime that will force the singles to make gut-wrenching decisions. From speed dating to intimate evenings alone in back country lodges, the relationships become more complicated as the singles start to make strong emotional connections.
The Rocky Mountains provide the perfect backdrop for Hooked Up with great dating locales and breathtaking outdoor activities. Wild, romantic and adventure-filled days are the ingredients for great “one on one” time that allows cast members to experience love, lust, desire and heartbreak.
“Desire, heartbreak and envy are the buzzwords for Hooked Up and they are sure to peak the interest of Canadian viewers,” according to Geddes, who is Executive Producer and creator of the series. “Viewers can fully expect to see this hot new Canadian series sizzle on the airwaves. We are thrilled to be working with all of the A-Channel stations and Craig Media’s recently launched TORONTO 1 and a series that will be an exciting new 'Canadian-born' international format.
Michael Taylor, Vice-President of Programming for Craig Media, says: “In keeping with Craig Media’s commitment to bring strong original Canadian programming to television audiences, Hooked Up offers the complete package. It is the first of several unique original programs we are developing.”
