The U.S. and Canadian Idols went head-to-head this week ... and in the end, the home Idol won. "Something More" has now finished its third straight week at #1, in its fourth week on the Canadian charts. Interestingly, "Low," which jumped from seventh to second in its third week on the charts, may be benefitting from export sales to the U.S., since RCA Records has chosen not to release the single in America -- and the single does not appear to be available on Amazon.ca, the Canadian branch of Amazon.com.
Meanwhile, a release date has been set for Ryan's debut CD, according to the Edmonton Journal: December 9. Not coincidentally, that is the same date as the debut CD from American Idol 2 winner Ruben Studdard.
