"Catfish" host Nev Schulman is going to be a first-time dad.
The 31-year-old television personality and girlfriend Laura Perlongo announced they're expecting a daughter Wednesday on social media, with Schulman tweeting, "AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I'm having a baby!"
"It's a girl! No words can capture the excitement and joy I feel about becoming a father," the star added on Instagram. "I am so in love with you @el_peego and thank you for giving me this incredible gift. You inspire and excite me every day."
Perlongo shared her own post on the photo-sharing site and also penned a lengthy essay about her pregnancy for ATTN. She and Schulman had been dating long-distance for seven months when she learned she was expecting.
"Completely head over heels in love and excited to announce @nevschulman and I are bringing a new bb person into the world," Perlongo wrote on Instagram. "It's been a totally wild ride so far ... So excited for this babyyyy!!!"
"Nev and I certainly have no idea what we're doing, we just know we're doing something we want to be doing," she confessed to ATTN. "Hopefully we don't suck at it or turn into know-it-all zombies. Mainly we're just really happy and excited."
Schulman and Perlongo made their red carpet debut as a couple at the New York premiere of "The Intern" in September. The star is the subject of the 2010 documentary "Catfish" and has hosted "Catfish: The TV Show" on MTV since 2012.
"Catfish" the film documents Nev's relationship with a woman who deceived him into thinking she was someone else online.
The television series sees Nev arrange first-ever in-person meetings between couples who met on the Internet.
