CBS has announced that it will broadcast the remaining categories from the previously interrupted "Star Search" finale during the premiere edition of the series third round of competition on Wednesday, April 2 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT tape delayed) on the CBS Television Network.

On April 2, the Junior Singer and Young Dancer winners from the March 19 broadcast will be recapped for audiences while the second comedian and Adult Singers will be able to perform to determine the winners in each category. Immediately after completing the finale, the next round of STAR SEARCH will begin with new performers competing in each category. The new tournament featuring 13 original episodes will be broadcast twice weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT both nights).

"Star Search" is a one-hour series featuring live tournament-style competitions in four categories – adult singer, junior singer, comic and dance – culminating in the grand-prize winning STAR in each category. A panel of both celebrity judges and viewers at home does voting via the Internet who will determine the winners and $100,000 grand prize winner in each category.
