CBS has confirmed that Live for the Moment, a new Jeff Probst-created reality series that follows a terminally-ill person as he or she lives life to the fullest, will air on Thursday, January 28 at 8PM ET/PT.

"If you're looking for something new that offers great adventure as well as an uplifting message about how to get the most out of life, I hope you'll check it out and encourage your friends to watch," said Probst.
"I'm really proud of it and I hope it connects with an audience. The only way a show like this gets a chance for a second episode is if people watch the first one! Thanks for the support."
CBS ordered Live for the Moment's pilot in October 2008 under the title Live Like You're Dying, and Probst has previously stated it filmed earlier this year and followed a man with Lou Gehrig's Disease.
While Probst considered the pilot a success, the reality series was still absent from CBS' 2009-2010 primetime programming schedule when it was announced in May.
"CBS called me the day of the announcement and said, 'Don't be alarmed if you don't hear the announcement, it's only because we don't know where it would go on the schedule yet,'" Probst told The New York Post in June. "We are doing more [episodes]."
According to Probst, one of the main reasons why Live for the Moment was delayed was because he spent the summer filming back-to-back seasons of Survivor in Samoa.
"[I] can't even start shooting [Live for the Moment] until the end of September, when I'm back from double duty on Survivor," he told The Post at the time. "The earliest I could have episodes done would be January."
Live for the Moment will be hosted by Probst, who also serves as executive produce with Mark Burnett.
In addition to Live for the Moment, CBS announced Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains -- the twentieth season of the long-running reality series -- will premiere with a two-hour episode on Thursday, February 11 at 8PM ET/PT.
CBS will also air Surviving Survivor, a one-hour special featuring castaway updates and some of the show's most memorable moments over the last 10 years, on Thursday, February 4 at 8PM ET/PT.
