Celebrity Big Brother evicted Olympic medalist Mirai Nagasu from the Big Brother house over comedian Chris Kattan after Shanna Moakler won the Power of Veto during Monday night's Season 3 episode on CBS.

After Shanna, an actress and former Miss USA, won the Power of Veto and opted to keep Head of Household Chris Kirkpatrick's nominations the same, the house voted to evict Mirai over Chris Kattan in a unanimous 7-0 vote on Day 13 of the game.

The Celebrity Big Brother broadcast began with a very divided house after former N'SYNC member Chris Kirkpatrick had won Head of Household and nominated Chris Kattan and Mirai for eviction.
Footage then flashed back to Day 11 at the Nomination Ceremony, when Chris Kirkpatrick told the cameras that Mirai was his target and Chris Kattan was the pawn.

Former UFC champion Miesha Tate complained that Chris Kirkpatrick was not picking up what she was putting down because she really wanted to go after Carson and watch him leave the house.
Designer and former Queer Eye star Carson Kressley said he was sad to see Chris Kattan on the nomination wall but he was glad to not be in that position.
Model and former The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey assured Chris Kirkpatrick that he had made the right decisions, and Chris Kirkpatrick apparently only felt truly aligned with Shanna.
Although Chris Kirkpatrick and Shanna were also working with the athletes' alliance of Miesha and singer and rapper Todrick Hall, the pair agreed it would be best for their game to keep Carson and Cynthia in the house.
Chris Kirkpatrick said he needed to win the Power of Veto in order to keep his nominations the same and keep both sides of the house happy.

"If Miesha takes [Mirai] off the block, there is going to be hell to pay," the HoH told Shanna.

Mirai then told Todrick how she was very loyal to him and Miesha and hoped to stick around longer so she could continue working with them and protect them. Todrick called Mirai "a very special person" and said he'd do anything to keep her in the house.
While doing some face masks, Chris Kirkpatrick acknowledged how he needed Mirai out sooner rather than later or else the numbers on Miesha's side were going to grow and her circle of allies may no longer include him.
"This Veto competition is going to define a lot," Shanna noted.

Miesha was rooting for Mirai to win the PoV and take herself off the chopping block. Miesha and Todrick did their best to convince Chris Kirkpatrick to focus his attention on Carson and look at his long-term game, but the former boyband member didn't want anyone else to control his HoH reign.
In fact, Chris Kirkpatrick suggested he'd even consider naming Todrick the replacement nominee if either Mirai or Chris Kattan managed to win safety or be saved by someone else.
The Power of Veto competition then commenced, and a random draw determined Todrick, Shanna and Cynthia would compete against the current HoH, Chris Kirkpatrick, as well as the two nominees, Chris Kattan and Mirai.
The competition dubbed "Marry Me" -- in honor of the new movie starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson -- required the participating celebrities to look at a series of images showing a large crowd of fans. Many fans were holding up signs, but only one fan would be holding up a sign that says, "Marry Me."
The houseguests' job was to quickly identify the section -- A, B or C -- that contained the "Marry Me" sign. For every correct answer, a houseguest would receive one point.

The houseguests with the most points at the end of seven questions would win the Power of Veto.
Todrick and Shanna tied with six out of seven correct answers, and so the pair had to go to a tiebreaker round.
Celebrity Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves asked the two celebrities, "Rounding to the nearest hour, how long was it, in hours, from when the MON WON hat was revealed by Miesha to the moment Todd went on the block?"
Shanna guessed only 72 hours and Todrick guessed 180 hours when the answer was 175 hours. Because Todrick went over by five hours, Shanna won the Power of Veto.
At the Veto Meeting, Shanna announced she had decided to keep Chris Kirkpatrick's nominations the same, even though she thought both of the nominees were "lovely."
It then became time for the live eviction, and in his speech, Chris Kattan said Chris Kirkpatrick was right in saying the comedian knew very little about game playing.
Chris Kattan was essentially willing to fall on the sword for Mirai.
"I love you all and I think it's time for me to move on," Chris Kattan announced.
"[Mirai], you've been very dedicated to playing the game and it's been very important to you, and I've seen that for a while -- a couple of weeks. You've had a lot of traumatic moments and I think you should stay."

Mirai said Chris Kattan had been one of her closest friends in the house and they were both feeling lonely up to that point. Mirai said she felt grateful for this experience regardless.
Mirai admitted playing the game had been difficult for her because she's emotional and everyone in the house is so much older.
"If you keep me in this game, I have been doing my best to be great defense," Mirai said, adding how she'd like to continue being a role model for people who look like her.
The cast then voted to evict one at a time, and Mirai was evicted from the Big Brother house through a unanimous 7-0 vote.
"It's okay," Mirai said on her way out of the house, as everyone hugged her and wished her well.
In her post-eviction interview, Julie asked Mirai if she was more surprised to be saved by the twist last time or evicted at this point.
"Saved by the twist at the first eviction for sure," Mirai shared. "It did [catch me off-guard]."
Mirai said she was "absolutely" prepared to be evicted at the second eviction because she had been very lonely inside the house and didn't relate to any of her fellow houseguests.
Mirai also suggested it was a bit uncomfortable for her to be the only Asian-American in a room.
"I've always been surrounded and that was really hard for me," she admitted.

Mirai, however, confirmed how she and Chris Kattan had established a sincere friendship and she found him "really funny." She also predicted Chris Kattan would open up more soon to others.

When asked whether it was more difficult to compete on Celebrity Big Brother or the Olympics, Mirai said she didn't feel mentally prepared for this game when people need to expect the unexpected.
