Braxton Family Values star Tamar Braxton also learned America had voted for her to receive a new "Power of a Publicist" power in the game.
In addition to Tom, Kandi, Joey, and Tamar, Celebrity Big Brother's second-season cast is comprised of former superstar NFL running back Ricky Williams, former WWE wrestler and Total Divas star Natalie Eva Marie, Olympic track and bobsled star Lolo Jones, Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina Lohan, and actor and former O.J. Simpson houseguest Kato Kaelin.
The Celebrity Big Brother broadcast began on Day 13, with Tamar relieved about being safe and Kato bragging his Head of Household reign was a success.
However, Kate said a member of his alliance needed to win the next Head of Household competition in order to keep the momentum going.
Joey then approached Tom and Kato, suggesting they should use him as a pawn to target one of the women because they were very tight and solid with each other.
Meanwhile, Lolo was crying to Natalie about how she had just voted against Team USA by targeting Ryan. She felt like a traitor because Ryan's a good guy and supported her during the Olympic Games they had been in together.

Joey then warned Ricky about how tight Natalie, Lolo and their group was, but Ricky told the cameras he wasn't worried and Joey should be more worried about himself.
Since Joey recognized the power alliance in the house -- which was comprised of Kato, Tom, Lolo and Natalie -- he attempted to form an alliance with Dina, Tamar and Kandi. Joey told the girls they just needed to convince one more person to join them and then they'd have the numbers.
But Ricky decided to tell Natalie and Lolo that Joey thought they were walking around too confident. This news fueled Natalie's fire to send Joey packing, and Lolo admitted that was "so stupid."

It then became time for the season's next Head of Household competition dubbed "Slaughter House," which was inspired by horror movies from the seventies.
Each player was instructed to escape "a family of deranged lunatics" by entering a "pitch black house" and finding his or her way out of each "terrifying room." After locating the car keys, he or she had to run out of the house and get in an old car.
The houseguest to get through the house and make it to the car in the fastest time would win the title of HoH.
All of the houseguests participated in the competition except for Kato, who as the outgoing HoH was deemed ineligible to compete.

Joey felt he was on his own in the game, so he was really hoping to win the competition. However, he finished the competition in fourth place.
Tom won Head of Household with a time of three minutes and seven seconds, and Ricky was right behind him with a time of three minutes and 44 seconds. Lolo finished four seconds later than Ricky.
Tamar and Joey expected to be place on the chopping block, but Kato was doing a victory dance in the Diary Room for his close ally.

Tom then had to decide whom he wanted to put on the block and hopefully evict. He discussed with Ricky and Kato how Joey was strong and Tamar seemed like an easy target, but Kato suggested he should nominate Tamar and Kandi side by side.
But Tom also started to think about Ricky as well since the former professional football player excelled in competitions.
Tom spoke to Kato about how he trusted him 100 percent and had 90 percent trust in Lolo and then 85 percent trust in Natalie.

Kato wanted to keep Ricky with them since they'd have five people going forward, but Tom feared Ricky would take them out if given the chance.
Tom also wasn't sure taking Tamar out made sense because she wasn't exactly a strong competitor. She even quit the haunted-house HoH competition because she doesn't like being scared.
"I know we're sort of working with Ricky and numbers are important, but I'm not sure I can trust him and I know I might not be able to beat him in the end," Tom said in the Diary Room.
"So while I'm HoH, I need to consider all of my options. Who knows when I will get this opportunity again."
Tom told Kato it would probably make sense to keep the weakest player and not the strongest.
The houseguests then gathered for another "Breaking Celebrity News" announcement. The players learned America would be playing the role of a publicist and voted to give one houseguest a new power.
The power recipient will be able to get out of "a very sticky situation," according to the announcement.
Tom hoped this new power wouldn't spoil all of his plans, while Tamar begged viewers to help her out and vote for her.

This power could only be used once and would expire after the Veto Meeting on February 4.
Tom wanted to make a big move this week, but he needed to decide whether he'd like to go after Kandi and Tamar -- who probably had the power -- or a bigger threat in Ricky.
At the Nomination Ceremony, Tom announced he had decided to nominate Joey and Kandi for eviction. Tom said he liked them both very much but his gut told him one of them had the power, and so he was hoping to flush it out of the game right away.
However, neither Joey or Kandi acted after the ceremony, so Tom doubted his instincts.
"That was a stupid reason to put somebody up. I'm over it, and I'm definitely over Tom," Kandi said.
