Dion, 48, will be working with Stefani, 47, during the show's infamous "The Battle Round." The iconic French-Canadian singer and Stefani appeared on the Today show together to reveal the big news.
"To get like the prize right here, everybody's going to be so mad -- the other coaches -- that I got you," Stefani said of Dion on Today. "So excited."
The No Doubt frontwoman and girlfriend of fellow The Voice coach Blake Shelton couldn't help but gush about Dion.
"I am blown away by her unbelievable story," Stefani said. "Having this unbelievable gift to be able to speak through music to the whole world."
Dion was quick to sing Stefani's praises as well, saying, "I know Gwen very well. I know her career. I know how beautiful she is all the time."
Dion also shared a photo of the pair on Instagram after their joint appearance on the morning show.
"Very excited to join @gwenstefani on @nbcthevoice as #TeamGwen's advisor for Battles! #The Voice -- Celine," she wrote.
Dion is best known for her incredible vocal range and hit songs including "My Heart Will Go On," "The Power of Love," and "All By Myself." Few The Voice contestants have dared to take on her tunes, but Season 11 runner-up Billy Gilman managed to belt out a successful rendition of "I Surrender" late last year.
Stefani first signed on as a coach on The Voice for Season 7 and returned for Season 9, when she hit it off romantically with Shelton. Stefani came back as an adviser for the country singer's team on the reality singing competition's tenth edition.
Shelton, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys will also be sitting in the big red chairs as coaches next season.
The Voice is set to return with its twelfth season on February 27, 2017 on NBC.
