"Yeah man, why not. It's time for me to sit down," replied Ochocinco, who also competed on Dancing with the Stars' tenth season earlier this year.
"Is it? I can't imagine you ever sitting down," Seacrest said.
"I got to sit down man, enough is enough. I'm 32. My days are over," Ochocinco said.
"And what did this woman we think is named Evelyn possess that made you want to squat?" Seacrest questioned.
"You know what? Everything. Everything I've been missing. You know how you feel with this person, with that person, but you can never find everything in one individual? So I think I found everything I've been looking for in one person," Ochocinco responded.
Speculation that Ochocinco and Lozada -- who began dating while his The Ultimate Catch reality dating show was still airing on VH1 this summer, spoiling the fact that he hadn't found lasting love on the show -- had gotten engaged first surfaced earlier this month when Lozada posted a photo of what appeared to be a 10-carat engagement ring on Twitter.
"I'm no rabbit but 10 carats looks good on me!! Let the hating begin," wrote Lozada, whose Basketball Wives reality series also airs on VH1.
However the couple had continued to publicly play coy about their engagement status until Ochocinco's radio interview with Seacrest.
"So you found someone that's perfect?" Seacrest asked.
"You know, there ain't no such thing as perfect. But you know what, it's close enough," Ochocinco replied.
"Will she take on the name Ochocinco?" Seacrest questioned.

"Ochocinco is nothing but a name. It's a brand and that's all. At some point, I'm gonna go back," Ochocinco said.
"Back to Johnson," co-host Ellen K. interjected.
"Yeah, all this fun that I'm having right now," Ochocinco joked.
Following Lozada's tweet, TMZ reported VH1 had offered Ochocinco and Lozada a new reality show which would follow the couple leading up to their wedding, however the football star told Seacrest that won't be happening.
"Chad are you shooting some of this relationship as part of a new reality show?" Seacrest asked.
"No, no, no sir. No sir. No sir," Ochocinco said.
