As Chock's feelings for Joan deepened and he became a clear frontrunner, he began rubbing some of the other bachelors the wrong way by monopolizing Joan's time on group dates.

"I'm crazy about her and I want to be with her every moment," Chock explained in a confessional. "I don't care what the [other guys] are thinking or doing."

Chock told Joan that he could see them being together long term and he was "falling in love" with her during his hometown date. He later told The Golden Bachelorette host Jesse Palmer that he was fully "in love" with Joan.

And then Joan and Chock enjoyed an overnight Fantasy Suite date in Tahiti during which they were able to build on their emotional intimacy.

Joan said Chock made her feel safe and sexy and that he was a good kisser, but a part of her wondered if he was "too good to be true."

When Jesse asked Chock how he hoped the process was going to end, Chock said, "Hopefully an engagement. It's going to be an engagement or I'm going to get my heart broken."

Until The Golden Bachelorette viewers find out whom Joan picked as her winner and if her journey to find love ended happily, let's learn some details about this bachelor right now.

Below is a list of 11 facts Reality TV World has compiled about The Golden Bachelorette bachelor Chock Chapple.

Chock is looking for a woman who can keep up with him

Chock is hoping to meet an adventurous and compassionate woman who enjoys spending time with family.

When Chock isn't working or spending time with his kids and his beloved black Lab named Super Tubbs, he loves exercising and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Chock would also love a good shopping partner given his guilty pleasure is shopping and finding a good sale.

Chock was almost married twice before his The Golden Bachelorette stint

Chock was married for 12 years and had kids with this woman, but it didn't work out.

After three years of being single, Chock met a woman named Kathy White Goree, and he eventually proposed marriage to her.

Chock's late fiancee Kathy passed away in October 2022, about five months after doctors discovered tumors on her brain. She died at age 52 after a battle with brain cancer.

Chock did not apply to compete on Joan's The Golden Bachelorette season

Chock's 24-year-old daughter actually nominated him for The Golden Bachelorette.

"She says, 'Dad, you're not going to be happy with what I did,'" Chock recalled of his daughter's application on his behalf.

"And I said, 'What did you do?!' When a kid does that, [it's scary]! She goes, 'I signed you up for The Golden Bachelor,' and so that started the process."

Chock's daughter had predicted Joan would be the show's star before her official casting was announced.

While Chock is well-traveled, he put down roots in Kansas decades ago

Chock is originally from a small town in Garden Plain, KS, but he's spent the last 30 years in Wichita.

Chock attended Kansas State University and graduated with degrees in both Labor Relations and General Business Administration.

Insurance is apparently in the Chapple family's blood

Chock's grandfather and father were insurance professionals dating back to the 1920's.

Chock is the President of Insurance Services Group, LLC, a full service agency, according to his LinkedIn.

Chock says he specializes in insurance for family-owned and managed businesses.

The senior bachelor began this job in January 2020, and he's been working full-time ever since.

Chock believes love can be found at any age

ABC says that Chock is kind, loves adventure, and has had a successful career owning his own business.

Chock has a very full life with his kids and his work, but something has been missing in his life -- a partner!

After the loss of his fiancee, Chock says he wants to find love again more than anything else. He's enthusiastic about finding that spark with a woman again.

In fact, he said he was "more excited" to appear on The Golden Bachelorette than he had been about anything else for years.

ABC says Chock is quite the catch!

Chock may pull a hamstring during a game of kickball, but he's still active and in shape!

Chock actually climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania twice.

Chock's mother, who was battling cancer when Chock filmed The Golden Bachelorette, inspired him to find love again and live life to the fullest.

Jesse Palmer has sized up Chock

Jesse recently told Us Weekly how there was an obvious "chemistry" and "connection" between Chock and Joan while filming the show.

"Chock was someone right away, when I was talking to him off camera, [I could tell] he's a man's man and he is an alpha -- that's just kind of how I put it," Jesse shared with the magazine.

Jesse added how Chock is "a leader of men."

"[He's] someone who's wildly successful professionally and also has a really touching and unique personal story to him as well," Jesse said.

Kaitlyn Bristowe predicted Chock would be one of Joan's Final 2 bachelors

On The Golden Bachelorette's October 9 episode, Kaitlyn hosted a striptease group date for a handful of Joan's senior suitors, including Chock.

Kaitlyn, who starred on The Bachelorette's eleventh season, later sized up the competition and picked which two men seemed to have the strongest connection with Joan.

"I was so dialed. I was watching every move because I wanted to see, without her telling me -- also I don't like spoilers for any show -- who she had the best connection with," Kaitlyn said during the October 10 episode of SiriusXM's "Love to See It With Emma and Claire" podcast.

She added, "[Pascal Ibgui] and Chock to me, I saw the most chemistry with."

Kaitlyn noted that she "definitely" saw sparks between Joan and Chock, in particular.

"That's clearly undeniable on TV and off TV," Kaitlyn gushed. "The chemistry there is -- I just think they're so sweet together and I watched them interact."

Joan Vassos shared her take on Chock's "aggressive" dating approach

"Over the years, I do notice about certain The Bachelor series or journeys, is that every once in a while, one guy or one girl pops out that is just more aggressive -- just tries a little harder to have random interactions," Joan said on "The Viall Files" podcast.

"You see them every once in a while, that they came there for a reason. They're fine having found friends, and that's a good part of [this]. It's like a bonus to this journey."

Joan continued, "But they are there for a reason, and I think... it's evident that Chock is one of those people."

Chock apparently knew the names of all of Joan's four children when they first met.

"I knew that I was important to him. He made me a priority," Joan said.

She added, "He knew the names of all four of my kids! Some people might call that creepy, but some people, like me, thought, 'Wow, he is really interested.'"

Pascal Ibgui slammed Chock's The Golden Bachelorette behavior

When asked about how Chock had rubbed some of the bachelors the wrong way during filming, Pascal threw shade by telling Glamour, "Chock was all over her to the point where he was [like a] stalker."

Pascal suggested it was ridiculous how Chock developed such strong feelings for Joan so quickly.

"I mean, it was like, 'I love you, let's leave. Let's do this, let's do that,'" Pascal recalled of Chock's intense approach to dating Joan on the show.

"And [Chock asked], 'Which side of the bed are you sleeping on?' It's bizarre behavior. I don't know."

Pascal continued to poke fun at Chock by sharing, "[Chock was like], 'I can't wait to be with you. I feel my love with you.' Maybe in Wichita there is no women. I don't know."

Pascal said it was actually "inappropriate" for Chock to ask Joan about her sleeping arrangement in front of other guys -- who were clearly listening to the pair's conversation -- during the bowling group date.

"As he walked in, he said, 'Let's leave here. Let's get out of here.' And then hovering over her during the bowling. I think, to me, everybody felt uncomfortable," Pascal recalled.

"I think [Jordan Heller] said, 'Hey, put the break on,' and [Jonathan Rone] said, 'What are you doing?'"

Pascal concluded, "I mean, Joan is smart enough to understand and figure it out by herself."
