Charles "Chock" Chapple made a brief exit on The Golden Bachelorette but returned as soon as he could to continue competing for Joan Vassos' heart.

Chock is a 60-year-old insurance executive from Wichita, KS, who asked Joan to taste his homemade "Chock-o-noodle soup" on Night 1 and then received the first one-on-one date of the season in Disneyland.

Chock said he was "mesmerized" by Joan's poise and elegance, and Joan quickly discovered that Chock was a gentleman and a family man. And once she saw a more playful side to his personality, she could begin to envision a future with him.

After the striptease group date, Chock told Joan, "I am crazy about you," and Joan replied, "The feeling is mutual."

However, Chock's mother passed away during filming, and so Chock had to return home for the funeral arrangements and to make sure that his family was going to be okay.

Joan understood and was completely supportive of Chock leaving, but at the same time, she felt very upset.

Joan admitted there would "always be a question" in the back of her mind about what could have been with Chock if he chose not to come back and resume the show.

Joan was therefore ecstatic when Chock did return to The Golden Bachelorette mansion for her, and she noted in a confessional, "I feel safe and I feel comfortable again, like I have a future and there's hope. I can see it now."

Until The Golden Bachelorette viewers can watch more of Joan and Chock's love story unfold on the show, let's learn some details about this bachelor right now.
