Christian Siriano was fierce in his recent criticism of Project Runway's currently airing fifth season.

"Project Runway? It sucks," the fourth-season champ told New York Magazine in a Friday report.
While Siriano added he thinks the fifth-season finalists are "interesting," he said they don't measure up to the designers he defeated during his time on the show.
"I think the talent level isn't close to some of the talent and designs we had on my season," he told New York Magazine, adding he thinks they're more about wanting to become famous and less about taking the opportunity to illustrate their design talents.
"They kind of annoy me this season!" Siriano told Us Weekly in a separate Friday report. "I actually met everyone, and they're all great, but I just really don't know about the clothes this year."

Siriano specifically singled out fifth-season finalist Blayne Walsh, who -- similar to the way Siriano used "fierce" during his fourth-season run -- is attempting to popularize the "licious" postfix.
"I can't listen to somebody say 'licious' all day long to get it popular," Siriano told New York Magazine. "It's not funny to me. I really just can't hear that."
The fifth-season finalists aren't the only aspect of Project Runway that Siriano took aim at, as he also apparently has some problems with the competition's first two challenges.
"I just think it could've been a little more innovative. I actually think that some of the pieces were really creative." he told New York Magazine about the first challenge, which saw the designers create a look using only materials purchased from a Gristedes grocery store.
For Siriano, it didn't get much better with the second challenge, which saw the contestants create cocktail dresses.

"I thought the clothes were horrific," he told New York Magazine.
Despite the problems he has with Project Runway, Siriano thinks some of the show could be injected into America's Next Top Model to make that series a little more interesting.
"I don't see everything but I've seen a lot of fashion challenges and I think it would be fun to mix a little Project Runway in there," he told New York Magazine.
"I think they should have the girls make their own clothes. They should totally do the runway and they have to put together the whole show by themselves. Like, you know, do everything with like stage set up, everything."
As for what he's currently up to, Siriano has been preparing a full design collection for Fashion Week, which he'll present on September 11.

"I've been working hard, have a little team together," he told New York Magazine. "It's gonna be a big show!"
