Christina Aguilera and Ariana Grande performed a show-stopping duet on Tuesday's finale of "The Voice."
Aguilera had announced the duet Monday, writing, "Excited to share the stage with @ArianaGrande." Grande followed up by tweeting, "Over the [moon], beyond excited to be sharing the stage w @xtina on @NBCTheVoice."
"The Voice" coach was originally slated to perform with a hologram of Whitney Houston.
The late singer's estate nixed the project, however, with Houston's executor, Pat Houston, explaining the hologram was "not ready to air."
Aguilera's contestant, Alisan Porter, was crowned the Season 10 winner on the episode.The win marked Aguilera's first victory in her six seasons as coach and the first time a female coach has produced a winning contestant.
"It's been a boys club since Season 1," the star told reporters after the finale. "[Alisan took] that stage as a hardworking mom, with this gorgeous voice ... tonight is a true victory for women and women that work hard and women that are mothers."
Grande released her third studio album, "Dangerous Woman," last week.
