It took three years, but at long last, Jerri Manthey finally got her man (no, not in that way, get your minds out of the gutter folks.)

After making it clear during the early days of the Survivor: All-Stars competition that she had two primary goals for appearing on the All-Star edition -- 1) to rehab her bitchy public image, and 2) to get revenge on cowboy-turned-razor-pitchman Colby Donaldson for spurring her Survivor Outback advances and instead booting her from the competition -- Jerri can now finally claim to have accomplished task #2 (task #1 is going to be... a bit more of a challenge) as the Survivor: The Australian Outback runner-up became the seventh contestant to leave the Survivor All-Stars competition.
Picking up where last week's episode featuring the quitting of Sue Hawk left off, the seventh Survivor: All-Stars episode featured a Survivor first -- an episode covering only a single day. "Day 18" -- the day after the Reward Challenge competition featured in the seventh episode at which Sue quit -- would cover two main events, the normally scheduled sixth Immunity Challenge, which was enhanced to also feature a tribal reward, and the Tribal Council ceremony that was originally scheduled to determine who would be the sixth (now seventh) contestant to depart the game.
After some initial footage showing Jerri being her usual bitchy self, the focus moved on to the day's joint immunity and reward challenge -- a complicated land and sea battle that Mogo Mogo ended up losing rather handily, despite having a significant lead going into the "land" portion, largely because of "boy scout" Ethan Zohn's inability to untie some knots. That's Mark Burnett for you, always hitting you over the head with "subtle" irony.
As part of their victory, Chapera got to select a Mogo Mogo member to join them on their day-long luxury yacht adventure reward. After some quick deliberation, Chapera selected Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien -- who found herself instantly more comfortable among the fun loving Chapera than among her own all-work-and-chest-shaving-and-no-play Mogo Mogo tribe led by Colby, Ethan, and Lex van den Berghe.

The added bonus of Kathy's selection was that she wouldn't be around to participate in that evening's Mogo Mogo Tribal Council -- an event that took an "unexpected" (at least to Colby and Ethan) turn when Lex, once again following his "gut" and deciding that he needed to play the game differently this time around, allied with the vengeful Jerri and Shii Ann Huang (who was lost without her strategic ally Kathy around) to boot Colby, the tribal "leader" who was perceived to be an enormous threat with the game's anticipated upcoming switch to individual challenges.
Episode 7's correct bootee prediction lifts our Survivor All-Stars prediction record to 6-0-1. In Spoiler Island fantasy game action, Icarus managed to hold he place atop the leaderboard for a second week, but he better watch out, as about half a dozen players are just 250 points back and charging hard!
So what happens next week? How's Ethan take the news that his ally Colby is gone and that it was his other ally -- Lex -- who did him in? Does Jerri do a Richard Hatch-like dance of joy? Will her glee be short lived? And will there finally be a merge??? Check out our Survivor spoilers forum for the latest details on these and many other hot topics!
