Corinne Olympios "always impressed" The Bachelor star Nick Viall with her confidence and, more recently, her vulnerability, but that doesn't mean he was ready to take advantage of her play for sex.

"The evening we had in New Orleans after the two-on-one [date] did a lot for our relationship. I felt like we had made a big push in our connection that date," Viall wrote in his People blog. "When I think of Corinne, I always feel like her confidence prevails -- and that is what I really appreciate about her."

Viall revealed that while watching Monday night's episode back, he felt "bad about how hard she took not getting a one-on-one" in Bimini.

But the Bachelor apparently didn't feel the need to take Olympios on a one-on-one date because their connection was already pretty strong and secure.

"Honestly, she always impressed me. Hearing Corinne talk about me meeting her family and the possibility of going to her home was one of the first times I saw her be truly vulnerable. It was a new side to Corinne I knew was always there, but she was finally ready to show me."

After Viall said goodbye to Danielle Maltby, Olympios snuck to the Bachelor's hotel room to chat and hopefully make love. The bachelorette thought that showing Viall her "platinum vagine" and "top-notch skills" in the bedroom, he'd definitely give her a rose.

"If I've learned anything from my time on this show, a knock on the door usually means something crazy is going to happen. I was surprised to see Corinne, but quickly realized this was a friendly visit and not a breaking up with you visit," Viall wrote.

"Now, it is no secret that in the past -- on [Kaitlyn Bristowe]'s season, to be more specific -- I've had sex before the Fantasy Suite. I don't regret anything, but I certainly have learned from that. I knew that in this moment and moving forward I didn't want to rush into anything and complicate a relationship. Especially before meeting multiple families on the horizon."

Viall therefore "put a stop to things after some kissing and said goodnight."

Although the Bachelor has been criticized for getting around since this is his fourth attempt on a reality dating series, he insisted, "I wasn't ready to make such a commitment to Corinne or anyone for that matter."

Earlier in the episode, Olympios was growing insecure and jealous of Viall's chemistry with other women on a group date, particularly Kristina Schulman, whom he later eliminated. Viall, however, believed he had "steady progress" with Olympios throughout the season.

"Given the tension going into the date and knowing what was on the line, I was happy with how much fun we all had," Viall noted.
