Marissa Jaret Winokur is dancing with joy.

The Dancing with the Stars sixth-season celebrity participant and her husband Judah Miller welcomed their first child on Tuesday, People reported Thursday.  Son Zev Isaac Miller was carried to term via a surrogate mother and weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces at birth.

"He is so perfect," Winokur told People. "My little miracle baby is here, and I can't believe it."

The 35-year-old Broadway star was diagnosed with cervical caner seven years ago and needed a hysterectomy.  While she made a full recovery, Winokur has previously stated she thought the cancer scare meant motherhood would most likely be out of the question.

However that all changed thanks to the surrogate mother.

"I told Judah the minute Zev was conceived our lives changed," Winokur told People.  "I'd say he's got a Winokur face and a Miller body."

Winokur was paired with Dancing with the Stars professional Tony Dovolani for the show's sixth-season this past spring.  She announced in March that she and Miller -- a writer for Fox's King of the Hill -- were expecting their first child.  Somewhat ironically, Dovolani subsequently announced that he and his wife were expecting twins.

Winokur and Dovolani eventually finished third during Dancing with the Stars sixth-season finale broadcast.

"One minute I'm totally fine, and the next minute I'm overwhelmed with emotion," Winokur told People. "I can't believe I am sitting here next to my baby. This is the one thing that's been missing from our lives. Now our house is really going to be a home."
