Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff claim that their Dancing with the Stars relationship was all about the ballroom and in now way romantic.

"We're good friends. That's what it comes down to," said Carter during last night's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live when asked by Kimmel if he was dating Smirnoff.

"Would you be willing to submit to a polygraph test?" asked Kimmel.

"Yeah, absolutely," replied Carter.

"Karina would you?" asked Kimmel.

"I would," she answered. "I was saving myself for you personally, but now that you've put this out..."

"Well I screwed it up again. What are you going to do," answered Kimmel with a laugh.

Carter and Smirnoff were the twelfth couple eliminated from Dancing with the Stars ninth season during last night's live results show based on a combination on their judges' scores from Monday night's performance episode and home viewer votes cast immediately following the broadcast.

Smirnoff and fellow professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy broke-off their wedding engagement only two weeks before Dancing with the Stars currently-airing ninth season premiered.

After he was eliminated with actress Debi Mazar, Chmerkovskiy said he felt "betrayed" by Smirnoff -- as rumors began to fly that she was romantically linked to Carter.

Kimmel asked Carter about a song called "Dance With Me" that he wrote based on his Dancing with the Stars experience.

"Is Karina mentioned by name in the song?" asked Kimmel.

"No," replied Carter.

"No?" said a surprised Smirnoff.

"No, but the song is all about dancing with her anyway," replied Carter.

"That's not what he told me," said Smirnoff.

"How cute, your first fight," joked Kimmel.

In addition, Carter and Smirnoff said they were both sick for the past week -- however it was with different ailments.

"Funny enough, we actually had two separate sicknesses," explained Carter. "I had a bit of a stomach flu and she had a cold and flu."
