Dancing with the Stars has announced Facts of Life alum, Nancy McKeon, and pro dancer, Val Chmerkovskiy, will be paired up for Season 27.

"He is awesome. He is the most amazing partner," Nancy gushed of the two-time mirrorball trophy champion. "[He has] more patience than anybody I know, and I'm so lucky."
Nancy is the second actress from Facts of Life to compete on Dancing with the Stars, as Kim Fields was partnered with pro Sasha Farber on Season 22 of the ABC reality dancing competition back in 2016. Kim and Sasha were ousted from the show in Week 7.
"She was so brilliant and I will try not to let her down," Nancy said of Kim.
Nancy teased Val about how he's never watched Facts of Life, which had featured her playing Jo Polniaczek from 1980 to 1988.
"Urkel was his man!" the actress joked on GMA, referencing Jaleel White's character on Family Matters. (Jaleel also participated in Dancing with the Stars. He competed back on Season 14 and placed seventh with pro partner Kym Johnson.)
Nancy and Val are apparently only three days into their dance rehearsals and she's already finding it to be a challenge.

"[Val is] making sure that I have what I need to maybe keep up with him. I'm not certain it's all going to come together, but we're going to try," she admitted.
Val will be competing against his new fiancee, Jenna Johnson, on Season 27 after she was just crowned champion of Dancing with the Stars: Athletes with Olympic figure skater, Adam Rippon, in the spring.
"I'm officially moved to the couch now," the dancer and choreographer said with a laugh of his rivalry with Jenna, 24. "I'm starting to deal with it."

Nancy and Val were the first couple officially announced for the upcoming Dancing with the Stars season, but a couple of other names have already been reported -- Bachelor in Paradise's Joe Amabile and on-air radio personality Bobby Bones, according to Reality Steve spoiler blogger Steve Carbone.
The 13 professional dancers who will be guiding the celebrities on the dance floor in the fall were announced last week.
The lineup of celebrities will be formally revealed on Wednesday, September 12 during Good Morning America's broadcast.

Season 27 of Dancing with the Stars is set to premiere Monday, September 24 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
