Dancing with the Stars axed Maria Menounos and professional partner Derek Hough during Tuesday night's seventh live fourteenth-season results show on ABC.

"Oh my gosh, I learned so many things. I learned how strong I was, I learned to persevere. I mean, we didn't know our dances yesterday until we got on the floor, really," Menounos said following her ouster.
"It's been an amazing season. It's been an amazing season. I loved, loved, loved dancing with this woman. She's an incredible person, not just on the dance floor, but just as a person. She's not just a champion at dancing but a champion of life, really, seriously," Hough explained.
"I want to thank everyone here. You guys have been amazing. I obviously want to thank Derek because I wouldn't have made it this far without his amazing talents and choreography, and I want to thank everyone at Extra for allowing me to do this, because it was a tough schedule. And my family and everyone who voted us to get this far! Thank you guys so much. Thank you guys so much!" Menounos added.
Menounos and Hough surprisingly topped Monday night's judging leaderboard and finished in first place after they received a total of 59 out of 60 possible points for their two individual ballroom routines from Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.
Menounos and Hough danced an Argentine tango routine which received a perfect score of 30 points and followed it with a jive that earned 29 additional points.
NFL player Donald Driver and partner Peta Murgatroyd were the other couple still in danger of elimination prior to Menounos and Hough's ouster although neither Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron or co-host Brooke Burke revealed whether they were actually the other bottom-two couple based on the combination of the judges' scores and America's vote.
Driver and Murgatroyd, who earned 57 total points, placed third on the judges' leaderboard. They first took to the stage Monday night and danced a waltz that received 28 points and then returned to the dance floor and performed a samba routine which earned 29 additional points.
Telenovela star William Levy and partner Cheryl Burke finished second on the leaderboard, trailing Menounos and Hough by only one point, with 58 total points. They danced a tango routine which received 28 points and then performed a samba which earned them a perfect score of 30 points.
Opera singer Katherine Jenkins and partner Mark Ballas finished in fourth -- and last -- place on the leaderboard with a grand total of 56 points. The couple performed an initial quickstep routine which earned them 29 points and followed it with a salsa dance that received 27 points from the judges.
Next week's Dancing with the Stars final performance show will feature the three remaining couples competing in the finals to ultimately be crowned the fourteenth-season champions of the Dancing with the Stars ballroom and win the mirror-ball trophy. The show's finale will then air the following Tuesday night.
