Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy's amazing chemistry on the Dancing with the Stars stage has had viewers believing they should date and wondering if they may already secretly be doing so, but the "couple" is still playing coy now that the show's over.

After Chmerkovskiy, 34, and Davis, 27, were crowned mirror-ball trophy champions on Tuesday night, they basically kissed once they were celebrating on the shoulders of their competitors. When asked whether they're romantically involved last night, Davis dodged the question.

"We were just saying that this show, despite the fact that it's a reality show, puts people into really real situations," Davis told Us Weekly.

"It's challenging and we're not just coming to the show ready to dance every Monday. You go through the daily grind and it's very challenging. You get to know people in really fun moments and in really challenging moments, and I think that's what makes the show so successful. And I also think that's why when the cameras stop rolling, I think that's why many of the relationships you form on the show keep going on long after the season's over."

The pair was also questioned separately by producers about whether they plan to date after the show during Dancing with the Stars' eighteenth-season finale.

"I can't talk about that!" Davis said with a laugh, blushing. "Our relationship is really unique because he incorporates so much passion into what he does."

Chmerkovskiy, however, was much more aggressive in his answer, jokingly stating he'd love to propose to his celebrity partner almost immediately.

"I want to ravage her and have ice-skating, big Russian, mean babies. We're going to call them Boris and Oleg," the pro dancer joked. "Their nicknames are going to be 'Bear' -- both. There's just going to be one nickname for both. 'Hey Bear!' Whichever one comes first will be it."

Davis didn't have much of a response to Chmerkovskiy's blunt comment although her face expressed shock.

Chmerkovskiy also got emotional during Monday night's final performance show after dancing his freestyle with Davis.

"Ten weeks is a really long time, [but] I would do another 100 weeks with this one," the pro dancer said of Davis. "[The season] was everything I never thought it would be."

Earlier in the season, Chmerkovskiy seemed to all but confirm there's more to his relationship with Davis than a friendship. He told producers he hopes to keep "whatever" they have together going long after the show.

And as to whether they'll at least continue dancing together now that Dancing with the Stars' eighteenth edition has concluded, Chmerkovskiy told Us, "We will, but not immediately, not right now!"
