Dancing with the Stars couple Alan Bersten and Alexis Ren have reportedly broken up.

"She's in Japan working and he's going on tour in a couple of weeks, but they are still talking and still consider each other friends," a source told Us Weekly.
"They aren't in the same country for a while, which makes a relationship hard, but they are open to whatever the future might hold."
An insider elaborated to People that Alan is currently in Los Angeles rehearsing for the next Dancing with the Stars tour.
"It's hard to date when you're in separate countries... They care about each other a lot, though, and they continue to be close and talk regularly. No matter what, they plan to always remain in each other's lives," the insider said.
Alexis, a 22-year-old model and social media sensation, seemed to reveal to a fan last week there was trouble in paradise.
When asked whether she and Alan split, Alexis replied on Instagram, "Feelings aren't black and white and neither is life. We're focused on our careers and growing as individuals. He's an amazing person and I'm grateful he came into my life. He's on his own journey and I respect that."

Alexis and Alan's romance was a storyline that played out on Dancing with the Stars. In October, Alexis admitted in a backstage video package she was "developing feelings" for her professional partner that she never saw coming.
The following week, Alan expressed mutual attraction and gave Alexis a kiss for the cameras.
"I'm in a place where, we worked so hard for this amazing journey together, and I'm afraid I will mess that up in some way," Alan told her in the footage that aired on Dancing with the Stars.

"But I've never had an experience like this. It's so easy to just hang out with you and have fun and not worry about everything else. I know that you put yourself out there last weekend, and I do have feelings for you. And I really feel like I am falling for you."
Alan and Alexis ended up finishing Season 27 of Dancing with the Stars in fourth place. The winners of the season were Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess.

Shortly after the finale aired, the couple opened up to Entertainment Tonight about how they were excited to simply "hang out" with each other on their own time and "be normal" outside of rehearsals and performing.
