Dancing with the Stars couple Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy continue to play coy about whether they have become more than just dance partners -- despite the best efforts of Ryan Seacrest.

"What's your status? Are you both single?" the American Idol host asked the pair during a Monday appearance on his KISS-FM radio show.
"Um... I think... Maks, are you single right now?" asked Andrews.
"I'm very single," replied Chmerkovskiy, which brought laughs from Andrews.
"Erin are, you?" asked Seacrest.

"I am single, yes," answered Andrews as she continued to laugh.
Chmerkovskiy stated at the beginning of Dancing with the Stars' tenth season that he and Andrews were "maybe" dating, leaving some -- even those who work with them on the show -- to wonder if they're a romantic couple.
However Andrews subsequently denied it and claimed the two were "just dancing."
Seacrest was persistent and referenced the "speculation" about Andrews and Chmerkovskiy's relationship.
"Why are you unclear about it?" asked Seacrest. "Why don't you just say, 'Yes, we're together,' or 'No, we're not.'"

"Because there's a lot of things I'm unclear about," answered Andrews.
"We're not sure," added Chmerkovskiy.
"Everybody says, 'You guys have amazing chemistry.' We are not chemistry. We are just like a chemical reaction -- you never know if it's going to blow up in your face or it's going to be all beautiful and stuff. Every second is different."
Still unsatisfied, Seacrest tried to get to the point with his line of questioning.
"Have you ever woken up at Erin's house Maksim?" asked Seacrest, causing Chmerkovskiy to pause and Andrews to laugh.

"No," he said with a chuckle.
"Have you woken up next to Erin Andrews -- ever," asked Seacrest persistently.
"Oh my god!" said Andrews. "We do take naps at the dance studio -- everybody does."
"I'm going to say no," replied Chmerkovskiy. "But a true gentleman does not stay over."
"Let me put it to you this way," tried Seacrest again with Andrews. "Have you ever woken up and thought, 'I wish Maksim wasn't next to me?'"

"No," replied Andrews cautiously.
"So every morning you're happy he's there," said Seacrest, pleased his play on words got the answer he was looking for.
In addition to their relationship status, Seacrest also asked the couple about the possibility of actress, comedian and Clean House host Niecy Nash and partner Louis van Amstel being the next to be booted from the show.
"I don't want to see anyone go," replied Andrews. "That would be so hard to see our little Niecy -- our little sugar plum, strawberry milkshake... I don't want to see anyone go. It's hectic. I hate Tuesdays. They're horrible."
"That's not true. I want to say bye to everyone by the end of the season," added Chmerkovskiy, who subsequently clarified his frank assessment.
"It's been a while for me to make it halfway into a season and I just want to go all the way. Erin has given me this opportunity."
