Liddell and Trebunskaya were ousted during the fourth week of the competition based on a combination of their judges scores from Monday night's performance episode and home viewer votes cast immediately following the broadcast.
"I had so much fun working with you," Trebunskaya told Liddell. "You are a gentle giant. You are my bear and you are my hippo. But I love working with you. You made me so proud each single week you danced. I'm so proud of you."
Liddell and Trebunskaya performed a two-step routine during Monday night's performance episode, for which they received a score of 17 out of 30 possible points -- placing them towards the bottom of the judges' leaderboard.
Dancing with the Stars judge Len Goodman described Liddell's lifts as "very, very good" and credited him for being an entertainer.
"You bring entertainment to the show. And there's a novelty value about you because we don't expect you to be able to dance. So that's always good," said Goodman. "But eventually you've got to come down to the fact that this is a dance competition. Your quality of dancing isn't there. You've got to improve the quality of the dance."
Bruno Tonioli commented that Liddell "raided" the two-step and didn't dance it.
"You bring carnage and mayhem in everything you do," he said. "But yet, it still managed to look like -- somehow -- a two-step. I can't believe it."
Carrie Ann Inaba said she agreed with Tonioli.
"Half of this competition is whether or not you suit the dance, and all the dances I've seen you do, you definitely suited the two-step the best," she said. "I could see myself walking into a bar and seeing you two-step. What I love about you Chuck is you may not have a lot of grace, but you never let the dance beat you."
Prior to Liddell and Trebunskaya's elimination, Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron revealed that singer Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff were the other couple in the bottom two based on a combination of their judges scores from Monday night -- an 18 out of 30 for their lambada -- and home viewer votes cast immediately following the broadcast.
"Chuck is like a gentle giant and he's given us great entertainment," said Goodman prior to the results being revealed. "But next week we're at the halfway point -- we're starting to learn two dances -- and I think the one who's going to cope with that better, and the better dancer, is Aaron."

Bergeron then revealed Liddell and Trebunskaya were eliminated.
Atop the judges' leaderboard for the third week in a row were singer/actress Mya and Dmitry Chaplin, who received a 28 for their lambada. They were tied on the judges' leaderboard with actress Melissa Joan Hart and Mark Ballas -- who received their highest score of the season, a 28 for their Charleston.
Hot on their heels were actress Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough with a 26 for their lambada, followed by entertainer Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson with a 24 for their Charleston and Olympic gold medalist swimmer Natalie Coughlin and Alec Mazo, who scored a 24 for their bolero.
In the middle of the pack were former The Osbournes star Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel with a 23 for their Charleston, Food Network host Mark Dacascos and Lacey Schwimmer with a 22 for their two-step, and Carter and Smirnoff with an 18.
Falling below Liddell and Trebunskaya on the judges' leaderboard were retired NFL star Michael Irvin and professional newcomer Anna Demidova with a 16 for the bolero and professional snowboarder Louie Vito and Chelsie Hightower with a 16 for their two-step.
Dancing with the Stars' next ninth-season performance episode will air Monday, October 19 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC -- with each of the 10 remaining couples performing either the Argentine tango or paso doble. In addition, all of the couples will participate in the ninth season's first group dance, the hustle.
Then on Tuesday at 9PM ET/PT, another couple will be eliminated from the competition based on a combination of the judges' scores and home viewer votes.
