Dancing with the Stars eliminated Mike Catherwood and professional partner Lacey Schwimmer during Tuesday night's first live twelfth-season results show on ABC.

The Loveline radio show host and Schwimmer became the first couple ousted from the competition based on the combination of the Dancing with the Stars judges' scores they had received during the season's first two Monday night performance shows and the home viewer votes that were cast following each show.
"It's hard to name one thing. It's been such an amazing experience overall. I just -- it really has -- it's been nothing but a pleasurable experience. I want to thank the judges, everybody involved with Dancing with the Stars, [host Brooke Burke] and [host Tom Bergeron] of course, all the professional dancers and the cast as well. It's been a really great, great experience. It sucks to be sent home first, but I made a lot of good friends," Catherwood said after Bergeron announced his elimination and Burke asked what he will remember most from the competition.
"From the bottom of my heart, I have to thank, most importantly, The Kevin & Bean Show, all the support staff and everyone at Loveline, and all the listeners who have been so supportive. America obviously knows that Lacey Schwimmer is a beautiful person on the outside, but everybody needs to know she is equally, if not more beautiful, on the inside and I've made a lifelong friend."
Catherwood and Schwimmer had finished in last place on the combined two-week leaderboard, which featured the judges' combined scores from Monday night's performance show and last week's initial twelfth-season performance show. They received 30 out of a total of 60 possible points from Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Retired boxer and former The Contender host Sugar Ray Leonard and partner Anna Trebunskaya were the other couple still in danger of elimination prior to Catherwood and Schwimmer's ouster, however Bergeron noted they were not necessarily the other couple in the bottom two based on the combination of the judges' scoring and home viewer votes from the past two weeks' performance shows.
Leonard and Trebunskaya had finished in ninth place on the combined leaderboard with 34 points.
Actor Ralph Macchio and partner Karina Smirnoff had placed on top the judges' two-week leaderboard with a combined 45 points.
NFL football star Hines Ward and partner Kym Johnson had finished just behind Macchio and Smirnoff in second place on the leaderboard after they received a total of 44 points from the judges.
Kirstie Alley's Big Life star Kirstie Alley and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy had finished in third place with 43 points on the combined leaderboard, while WWE wrestler Chris Jericho and partner Cheryl Burke and rapper Romeo and partner Chelsie Hightower had finished in a fourth-place tie after both couples earned 42 points.

Supermodel and former A Model Life star Petra Nemcova and partner Dmitry Chaplin had placed eighth on the combined leaderboard with 36 points, while daytime talk show host Wendy Williams and partner Tony Dovolani had finished in tenth place after they received 31 points from the judges.
